  1. C0000005 errors usual indicate a problem with memory if you're Running as Administrator, everything associated with the sim needs to be RaA as well (for instance, if you use a joystick/ HOTAS button for your TeamSpeak, your TeamSpeak needs to be RaS if running the sim RaS)... perhaps also run MemTest to check your RAM.
  2. It was also an FSB choking venture as well, in which in most cases the trees had to be turned way way down
  3. I think an understanding should be garnered, that for any given subject the end result derived from the internet returns as inconclusive... god forbid that there's someone on the internet who is wrong :music_whistling:
  4. I've noticed when ALT-TAB the second core which DCS uses, runs the CPU core its on up to 100% (from its usual 50%)
  5. I quite like it the way it is now  ... before was a lot of hunting around :music_whistling: .
  6. go through the steps with us on exactly what you downloaded, by way of DCS: World files and how you attempted to install
  7. C-5M Super Galaxy, with loading capability? :music_whistling:
  8. The Goat Simulator
  9. Tried building a simple four plane landing mission in the 1.2.7 Mission Editor and was getting the same error... there's a newish feature in the Editor which allows "time set" or 'time link" or something (not at my game machine atm, will update correctly later) and has two tick boxes. Its where you edit your Waypoints/ Loadout/ Altitude/ Fuel Capacity etc, there in the panel on the right hand side Try building a new version (rebuild the Mission from scratch) and leave these boxes alone
  10. perhaps by keeping it to the one thread for a start?
  11. turn TSSAA (in game) OFF...
  12. I, and many others have had no problem updating from 1.2.6 to 1.2.7... so what ever is going on, is with your system... not the updater
  13. power supply... CPU overheating would have restart/ shutdown/ restart at POST level
  14. It wouldn't be hype, without someone getting caught up in it
  15. I was asking, and also curious to know, if the 1.2.7 updater is updating 32 bit systems? (considering the move to 64bit/ dropping 32bit support) Mojeaux wrote: "Says.."World\bin/DCS_updater32)"
  16. what is your operating system?
  17. and they do like to hide them (in RL) so they can't be easily seen  and get you if they can
  18. @Aldega... I've often mentioned to "give the Root Folder full permissions", in other posts before... quite simply; C:\ Program Files (on Vista/ 7/ 8 ) is protected - install to a folder outside of the program files for an easier time of things The 7b error usually comes up as something mismatched, filewise, between the 64bit and 32 bit system folder, with the culprit likely being one of those pesky msvcr (?) dll thingies. Try to obtain and run an app named Dependency Walker for further clues
  19. probably a bit late, but did you make a note of exactly what the DCS World Shortcut Icon string contained?
  20. ran the updater yesterday, with no problems... I don't run any modules except P51 and FC3

  22. Permissions, (right click root folder - Properties/ Security tab/ select User, then edit button) not the .exe only
  23. C:\ Program Files has file protection built into it, which was first introduced in Vista, then improved and carried over to Windows_7. Administrator privileges are required (mostly) to modify files contain within. Running an app "As Administrator", places what you're running into protected space (its own separate memory space)
  24. Running under "As Administrator" puts what your running into a Protected Space...Give the DCS root folder Full Permissions?
