Any update on this?

I wonder if we are going to get the Free Syrian Army faction added into the faction list when the Syria map comes out. Anyone know if ED has said anything about factions being added?

Would love to know where the Syria map is actually up to, like a rough idea on when it will release etc. It's looking great!

Can someone please give this a test? I have tried every setting and changed drivers etc and nothing seems to help. Only happens in the tomcat.

Driver 419.67 installed. Problems for me seem to have gone away. Driver 419.35 was bad for me.

I've just found that if I'm in the tomcat and the sun is behind me so that it shows the sun and/or the sunrays in the mirrors, the FPS drops heavily. If I then turn the plane so the sun is not in the mirrors the FPS returns to normal. Tested the same thing with F-5 and Hornet and there is no issue with those planes so I think it's something specific to the F-14. Can someone else test this and see what happens? I was on Persian Gulf at about 4pm in the afternoon.

I have this every time I try to exit as well. Have tried removing fxo and metashaders folder, but that hasn't helped. I have 32gb of ram and a 32gb pagefile.

In a multiplayer/coop mission is it possible to choose the unit that is viewable in the background at the slot selection screen? For some reason the mission I have made defaults to looking at a Russian AWACS plane and I'd like to make it look at something else, maybe the Stennis? Thanks in advance

I've had this happen too, but I think i've also had it in the Mirage. It's a bigger problem in the Viggen if you can't get to the pages to select specific data cartridges, like when you make map marks and want to use the cartridge based on the map marks.

Haha yeah that's the problem, I think of that video of it being dropped like that every time I spawn in :D Anyway, Jester isn't happy about it and I want to keep him happy lol

Well I'm glad it's not just me then.

I've noticed that when I spawn onto the carrier deck of the Stennis, it feels like the plane is 'dropped' onto the carrier deck from about 1-2ft off the ground. Sometimes when spawning in even Jester complains and says things like "Is this plane still airworthy? You tell me". I haven't had anything break yet, but it is pretty consistent. This seems to happen whether I use hot start runway or parking hot. As a side note, I've noticed if I have myself and 3 AI F-14's in a flight all starting from parking hot, as soon as I begin to taxi from parking to the catapult planes 2 and 3 collide with each other (wings hit each other). Although this is probably more an issue with the Stennis than the F-14.

Hi guys, Can someone tell me how you switch the VDI into night mode so it turns red? I can do it to the HUD but no idea where the VDI night mode thing is.

I'm so glad I put in time in the MiG-21. I feel like the preparation done in that plane made the transition to the F-14B easier that it otherwise might have been. If you screw up though, it can bite hard and quick ... got in an inverted flat spin fighting an F-5, managed to recover ... but whoa! Also found Jester loses lock a lot but I assume that's because I'm not telling him to do the right things yet.

Absolutely take a bow! Heatblur you guys have smashed this out of the park/planet/galaxy! What an achievement!

If the hornet starts at night, the formation lights, position lights and strobe don't seem to function. They are fine in day hours from what I have seen. Track is attached. Hornet Lights.trk
