DCS Super Hercules mod by Anubis
Frag replied to Eight Ball's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
I do have this issue from time to time. I tried to reproduce with specific steps to post here but was not able at this point to dress out the exact recipe that will create this. It seems to me that it will happen when you play a lot with the zoom within the cockpit ...but not always ... Indeed it was my issue, I realized it at some point! Thanks for pointing this out! -

Interesting report shake307. I agree with mostly everything you said here. Just one thing though ... but it could be an impression. Anyone did some testing about which chopper is the most sturdy one? I love the MI8, but I got shut down many times from soldiers small weapon firing. Maybe I was just unlucky, but I always had the impression that the Huey was way more sturdy (in DCS, I do not mean real life). Was I just unlucky? I would be interested to get the feel of other people on this.

Two other things I also noticed: 1. When you use the Autopilot and switch it off before landing (with the flip switch right of the pilot), it will sometimes yell the alarm "Autopilot" after touching the ground. I am then no longer able to turn the alarm off. Am I missing something? 2. The parking break seems to disable by itself way too easily. I noticed that if you use the toe brake axis, it will disable the parking brake. But in my case, it disable by itself a lot (even though I put a large dead zone on my toe brake). I also had to "inverse" my toe brake control, so I wonder if it could have an effect. I cannot trust that parking brake, it disable itself too much. Would it be possible to remove that auto disabling feature? I am pretty sure that I am not the only one who has issues with this. I would really like to be able to rely on it. -

Wow Marvelous piece of software guys. You did amazing works. I wished to have that plane in DCS for so long. Small Bug Found a bug to report here. For the nose wheel, it works well with the rudder. However, if you want to use the buttons, then entry in the control setup "Nose Wheel Steering Left" and "Nose Wheel Steering Right" are inversed. Probably quite an easy fix for the next release. Questions 1. I commonly have an issue where I hear that "clack clack clack" sound in the cockpit while flying ... like if a jumper would turn on/off in a loop. IF I play with the APU switch on the electrical panel, it seems to temper with that sound but I did not find the logic. I know that everything APU related should be stopped after the engine is started so I am a bit confused here. 2. On the Syria map, is there a reason why the aircraft can only depart from "Bassel Al Assad" airport? Is it an airport size thing or it is because the map needs to be configured to support the aircraft? Again, thanks for that wonderful mod!!! -
I have both ... the Huey will rock your boat man ... believe me. They are both nice weapon platform, but the Huey has a stronger jaw for some reason and is simpler to fly. The flight model also feels fantastic.

Who will win the race between the Mi-24 and the OH-58?
Frag replied to Razorback's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
I bought the Gazelle from Polychop and the quality/complexity of that thing was quite low. I will never buy from them again ... unless I read overwhelming reviews saying that they really turned their boat around. I will be all in for the Hind Even though I LOVE the OH-58, I will not buy it from that company. -
Hi guys, I got welcomed by this while downloading the update this morning. Why removing such an awesome feature?! Now if your SSD drive barely hold the size of DCS, then you won't be able to update no more. That thing was working great! You could download the huge torrent to another disk, and simply overwrite the DCS folder after download. Am I missing something? Did they simply killed that thing or there is another way to do this?

Oh! Seems like I am not the only one! I was coming here to report this. I even uninstalled the module and re-installed it. Left gunner is always silent. It will engage, but can't hear the sound.

LOLL yeah landing can be a pain. If you like tough landing ...try to land a MIG-21 gracefully. I can land anything ...but that little jewel likes to keep you heart pumping while landing.

Yeah I have trackhat (free) with an old PS3 camera (like 12$ new) and it works perfectly well with no glitches whatsoever.

Most AAA never fire at night anyway. Last time I checked it was still broken ... making night mission quite limited. (Correct me if it was fixed).

I love choppers in DCS. They really have their place in the theater. However, if ED starts to seriously jump in the chopper world, they really need to do something about the infantry. Choppers engage infantry a lot so do the math. They look so old and out of place ... even the basic walking animation is outdated.

WOW! Excellent! I guess you are waiting for the release of the campaign to put it live on youtube?

SorelRo, you should ask one of the DCS youtubers to do a Preview Trailer for you! You will need some marketing when that beast will be released :) Would be awesome to have a 1-2 minutes trailer!

Hi guys, I may miss something, but I noticed that the MSL altimeter is approximately 1000 feet off with the real altitude (in the gray label at the bottom of the F2 camera). If I see 18000 feet on my altimeter, then I press F2 and I will get a reading of 17000. Is it a bug, a feature or I need to tweak something in the cockpit that I am not aware of? I also noticed you can set the altimeter to "pneu" with a small switch at the bottom of the altimeter, but it just correct of few hundreds feet. Thanks

Would it work with rockets? I remember vaguely that feature not being available for rockets.

Hi guys, I found few really old threads from like 2011 but was wondering if someone figured out how to do this. I would like to create a mission where you need to drop an LGU on a specific building to destroy it. I would like to use a building that is already in a city. Is there a way to determine if the bomb fell on it? I could set a target there (like a man) but it places a label, which I would like to avoid. I would want the player to recognize the building based on a map in the briefing ...not only shooting out a label. Is there any invisible target I could use? Or make script call to know if a specific object id is destroyed (like in arma 3). Any hints would be appreciated.

Anyone surely knows if the ADF works? I am surprised that nobody is using this for navigation.

I would sell my sister for a vietnam map.

Hi guys, simple question here for the Warthog pro around here. On the warthog HOTAS, there is a ENG L toggle switch on the top right corner. I would want to send the "MASTER ARM ON" command when it is flipped up. I was able to do that from the DCS control setup without any problem. Now if I want to send the "MASTER ARM OFF" command when it is flipped down, I noticed in the setup that no signal is sent from the switch when I flip it down. Which is odd. I read the sticky about toggle switches, but could not figure out how to apply it to this switch. I am probably missing something. Briefly, I want to set the "Master ARM on/off" on the ENG L switch. Any way to do this? Thanks

Hi guys, I was following GrimReaper tutorial here, trying to pinpoint a hummer in the desert. I followed this to the letter, but it seems that the ADF homming is not working. The needle 1 will never point to the hummer ...whatever I do. I was able to make this work with the Huey in the past ... but cant with the A10. Is this thing bugged?

All the people who bought the Huey are hardcore propeller head. Majority of them would be ALL OVER a version 2.0 ...including me. I cannot wait for any announcements around this. Yes the Huey show ages and it is quite a popular module. Also ...an announcement about the implemention of the AH-1 Cobra would make me drop off my chair LOLLL ... but this is another subject! I wish Belsimtek would take this challenge since they got it SO right with the Huey.

Hi guys, two little things. I think they are bugs but I may miss something. CCIP Crushed to the left I commonly have this issue where both my CCIP and Gun cursor are thrown left to the hud. There are no winds and I did not find a way to restore it to be fully working. I need to restart the mission when it happens. Look at the screenshot. In this screenshot I am flying level. Only thing I have on board is a 300 gallons fuel tank, 2 MK-84 and guns. Nothing fancy! Crazy radar cursor Also, while slewing the cursor around to try to pinpoint a laser, the cursor is SO fast that I cannot use it for precise strike. The smallest touch to my buttons made the cursor move WAY too fast... Thanks guys!
