I'm thinking of getting a PICO4 as my reverb G1 is getting quite old now and the tracking keeps going haywire, they are also on offer at the minute in the UK. I've read quite a few posts about the PICO4 recently but it's a bit confusing as to how to set them up and what is needed for DCS. I understand I need to purchase and install virtual desktop but I've read about a dedicated router. My router is in another room and my PC is connected to it using the motherboards wifi. Do I need to buy a new router and how do I go about setting it all up. I'm using an I7 11700K cpu with an AMD 6800XT GPU and 64 GB of RAM. I assume this system will be capable of running it pretty well.

Will this only work original files or can it be used with other mods like Caucaus terrain mods?

I'm thinking about replacing my ageing G1. I was going to go for a G2 but the pico4 seems a bit of a no brainer at the minute. Do they need more powerful hardware than the G2 would?

It's not just pimax. I'm using a reverb g1 and the shaking/stuttering is terrible. Completely unplayable.

Apologies for bringing up an old thread. Any idea how to get this to play through headphones rather than my main speakers?

Possibly. The powered hub has made a difference while using the same cable which made me think it could be something else.

I've been using a Reverb G1 for a few years now until something went wrong with the cable and it would not start anymore. I managed to get a new cable which although it works, SteamVR kept crashing but DCS would keep running. This meant I needed to restart steamVR and then DCS all again. I thought part of my problem would be not enough power to the G1 USB so I've bought a powered USB 3.0 hub. This has made SteamVR stop crashing however every 5 minutes the headset goes blue for about 2 seconds then returns back into the sim. I've tried openXR but the FPS are way worse for me and it still does that same. Obviously the powered USB hub has made a difference but does anyone have any idea what could be causing the screen to go blue?

I've seen a few videos of the cockpit shaking especially the HUD mounts. Mine does not do this and stays perfectly still. Is there a setting I need to change somewhere?

That mod in particular only changes your wingmen to have British accents. The pilot will stay as US. I did originally change the pilots voice but I have player voice disabled as I use VAICOM. There was a German language one somewhere once but I’ve not used it. All you need to do is place the unzipped ‘Sounds’ folder in your ‘saved games’ folder on your C drive. That mod in particular only changes your wingmen to British accents. The pilot will stay as US. I did origianlly change the pilots voice but I have player voice disables

Is it not a base moose function? The main script is huge and I'm not that good at coding to work out what needs changing.

I was playing Syrian power abs all throughout I get messages about what ai has taken off or landed and where they are going to. I wanted to turn these off. I also get messages using the rat script about ai taking off and landing.

Is there a way to remove or change which messages are displayed? I keep getting messages about aircraft taking off, landing and being destroyed which have no relation to the mission I'm on.

I had dreadful performance with 2.8 which was virtually impossible to play. My FPS was down to the 20's and frame time up to near 40! After checking my 6800xt I noticed the usage was always around 95 % but temp was going over 90 degrees. I've now set a manual fan curve which has brought the temp back to around 65-70 and frametimes back to 15 ish. Not sure if this was conicidence but it might be worth checking.

This mod crashes dcs for me. Was there an update for 2.8?

Another great mod Eight Ball. I know it's early access but could you look at the gear when you next look at it please. They retract when sitting on the taxiways waiting to take off sometimes.
