  1. I don't understand your comment, but the Select target with ASP-17/Order to fire is designed so you can designate a target search area using the sight instead of mouse/head tracking. If you use it to designate an area, he will search that area exactly as if you has used the menu + mouse/head tracking method. If you use it designate an empty area, Petro will move the sight there but be unable to find a target.
  2. I tried your track, here's what I found: - When the mission is loaded your pedal inputs are registering as right pedal pushed. - If you don't touch any controls the helo remains stable on the ground (for me, when I immediately take control). - If you don't touch the pedals, but do touch the other axes, the helicopter starts registering the axes inputs and thinks your are holding the pedals in that right pedal pressed position; helo start spinning to the right. - However the second there is any input on the pedal axis - the in game pedal correct themselves to the proper position -> this behaviour is normal and how it always works for me. ____ Syria Free Flight - The helo starts trimmed with left pedal input. If you don't touch any controls and simply hit Trimmer- reset, the pedals will center themselves the helo will start turning right -> normal behaviour. ___ So I guess my question is, is there something amiss that you feel prevents you from controlling the helo, or are you just analyzing the control input behaviour on mission start and think it looks weird? If you simply jiggle/touch each controller when you start a mission, do they all pop into position and behave accurately according to your inputs?
  3. From the back seat, if you activate Petro's menu and press Long Up, it will ask him to activate the weapon systems (if they aren't already - the indicator boxes will be red if they are not already activated). Once they are on and warmed up, all you need to do is switch the back seat (pilot-commander) weapon selector to Off/MSL and the ATGM should be activated and ready to target. If the weapons selector is set to anything other than OFF/MSL, the ATGM sight doors will stay closed and Petro cannot target/launch ATGMs. (in theory)
  4. You can boresight Petro's target acquisition, but I don't know if I'd consider it a boresighted launch, because he still has to acquire the target for you as usual.
  5. I have that problem too. Slowing down requires a lot of forethought and planning. Landing feels more like trapping a Tomcat than plunking a Huey down on the pad.
  6. True. But she also does VRS somewhat more easily than the flying greenhouse.
  7. I'm not totally clear on what you are experiencing - I'll have a look at your trk (thanks for posting one!!!) as soon as I can. Two things to keep in mind. For air-starts, the helo is pre-trimmed before you take control - it has to be or we would all crash as soon we click FLY. So there will be trim applied before you hop in. Also, all my axes behave as you describe in the axes tuning screen. The graphed position is not even close to accurate until you jiggle the controls a bit to provide some input signal. DCS has always been like that for me. I think it's normal.
  8. Make sure you are binding the controls for the sight in the Mi-24 Aiming Sight/ axes section , not the Mi-24P sim / axes section.
  9. Some missions were saved with Simplified AI enabled in the mission editor. You will know that is the case if you switch to the front cockpit and can still control the aircraft without Requesting Control or unparking the cyclic. Check if that might be what's happening.
  10. Note, for air-start missions the aircraft has to be trimmed for stable flight before you take control, otherwise we'd all crash the moment we hit fly. So there will be some trim already applied when you air-start.
  11. The pilot-operator's cyclic is parked out of the way by default. When you Request Control of the aircraft (I think the default key is C) the cyclic will unpark, the anti-torque 'pedals' will pop in from the sidewalls, and you will have control of the aircraft from the front cockpit. There are two things that affect this: One is the Petrovich AI Auto Handover setting. The other is if the mission was saved with Simplified AI enabled. In this case you always control the aircraft, no matter where you sit.
  12. There isn't one yet (that I have found). I'm looking forwards to binding that too.
  13. Okay .... I was only trying to be helpful. But ... whatever, I guess.
  14. I saw that, but I think the autostart began before the refueling had completed. Try editing the mission - add fuel, see if it works. Need more than 38% by my findings.
  15. The magnified versions of the map for some of the terrains are still "work in progress" and will be added in future updates.
  16. Yes, thanks, good catch. I'll make sure the confusion caused by "Simplified AI" set in missions gets reported. Cheers!
  17. Thanks. Syria Border Patrol Mission Instant Action Mission, correct? The problem is that the Hind starts that mission with 35% fuel which currently causes the Autostart to abort. The problem was reported, but not in time to correct before release. Was another mission causing the same problem? If so, can you check the fuel level in the mission editor? Cheers.
  18. Yes it does. It also prevents him from taking control when you switch seats.
  19. What says it? Petro's dialog top right? Open Petro menu and long press UP. He will turn on the weapon systems. The ATGM's take 3-4 minutes, the guns/rockets are ready to fire in about 20 seconds - as soon as they light up beneath the ASP-17V.
  20. Ya, that's a tough one. Can you try clearing the trimmer button and trimmer-reset bindings and then binding them to different keys and different buttons to see if there is a conflict with something else, in the UI layer maybe?
  21. You can only switch between left side and right side.
  22. Autostart works. Under what circumstances were you trying to use it? Got a track file?
