  1. Have you guys tried switching the VSPX Processing either off or on to see if your recognition improves? Prior to the latest update I changed that and it greatly improved recognition for me.
  2. You can simulate long presses in VoiceAttack - definitely for key presses ... and I'm pretty sure also for controller inputs.
  3. From pg72 of the Mi-24P Quick Start Manual: I believe, the Hind is designed so that the pilot is responsible for the unguided weapons; the pilot's cockpit has a far better unguided sight, and he is (normally) in control of the helo's flight path. The observer can fire them but it isn't normal operating procedure. If you are flying the Hind as pilot, it wouldn't make any sense to have an AI firing the unguided weapons, as far as I can see. If you're asking whether you can sit in the observer 'pit and have Petrovich both fly the helo and use the unguided weapons ... I couldn't say.
  4. It doesn't damage the sight, it just messes up the targeting gyros - requiring a system power off/on to reset them and the incurred warm up time (2-3 3-4 minutes). Pgs 51-53 Mi-24P Quick Start Manual
  5. If the throttle is held precisely at the afterburner threshold (ie. a mal-placed fullmil/AF detent) the AF will keep trying to fire up, but can't get a proper burn. So you get thumps of the afterburner struggling to light and stay lit. This will continue to happen if the throttle remains in that position. Try closing your throttle a bit for full mil power setting, and moving the detent if you have one, to see if the sound disappears. Also, check when you go full afterburn, does the sound disappear?
  6. VKB stick and pedals + Virpil CM3 here. No problems whatsoever.
  7. But we still don't know how Petrovich feels about the bigN...
  8. Yes, you are right. But there was a subsequent update which fixed the cause of many crashes people experienced after updating to 2.7. After a cursory look at your log, it seems likely that the cause of this crash would have been addressed by that update. Have you had any crashes since the most recent update? If so, please post those logs - they might give better clues as to what is going on.
  9. Thanks for posting this. I think your crash log is from before the update which removed many of the crashes. There's a decent chance it's unrelated to the performance decrease issue.
  10. Seems there isn't really anyone who's anxiously waiting for the Mi-24 to drop ...
  11. This would be enough to make the module very fun and engaging for most people, I should think. I wouldn't get too worked up about this stuff before the module is even released.
  12. It's probably far too early to say anything one way or the other. But it would surely be great to have. However, I admit to never using my Jester module because I always like to have the Jester wheel available as a kind of quick reference. I wish it didn't disable the wheel completely (I know that you can still have it pop up, but losing the entire cockpit each time kills the realism for me even more). I hope there isn't the same kind of technical hurdle with Petrovich.
  13. Which half is the serious one? The back side?
  14. Earlier I noticed a Huey bug report by someone named Reflected and immediately I was : could that mean ... The plot thickens! I love it when the plot thickens.
  15. Your logs look a bit different to the typical second mission crash logs. Would you be able to: 1- remove any mods you might have (this includes stuff in the Saved Games>mods folder), 2- make sure Win_8 mode is actually disabled (trying turning it on and then off again), 3- run a clean up, AND a repair, (backup or delete any extra files found) 4- disable SSAA 1.5x for now until the next patch arrives, And then try again. And post your logs once more if it crashes. Cheers
  16. There is a lot of effort going in to finding and quashing this bug. It is not being ignored.
  17. The sixth rule of closed beta program is: no shirts, no shoes. That's kind of a weird one actually ...
  18. This sounds awesome! Can't wait.
  19. Just wanted to say I loved the Sunday Supplement! Thanks for that one. I encourage and applaud more of the same in the future.
  20. Just an FYI, Scratchpad was causing my game to hang on certain missions (ones where I had to choose which client to fly) exactly as you describe. It was happening back when the F-14A was introduced. I uninstalled it back then which it sorted out my problems, but I haven't tried installing it again since. Might be related.
  21. I haven't tried them yet - only played the actual campaign missions, but I'm guessing it's these ones: There are similar missions inside the folders for Zone 5, Horrido, Blue Nosed Bastards, Hunters over the Yalu, and Wolfpack (I don't own the 109).
  22. You can do it with any mission that isn't copy-protected with encryption. All the DLC campaigns from the ED Store/Steam have this encryption to protect them. However, I believe that Reflected has included some extra missions along with his campaigns which aren't encrypted so people can fly them coop with friends - because it's an awesome thing to do and he's that kind of gentleman.
  23. I've noticed that since 2.7 things like changing resolution or FullScreen Enabled still cause the game to exit. However, unlike before 2.7 when the game would restart to apply the changes, mine now never restarts, it just exits and I have to restart manually. Not sure if this is insignificant in anyway.
