  1. According to the video their first attack on England was until 24 Oct 1944, and the Battle of Britain was effectively over by then.
  2. In the takeoff track you posted above the gear doors fully close at 283 kts. I'd recommend you try pulling back the throttle once you get airborne to slow your acceleration to see if you can them closed by 250 kts. Then let's see if there is still a problem with your gear.
  3. This was my reaction, too. Before I got my own VR headset I asked a friend of mine what DCS was like in VR. He said, "It's like you're sitting in the cockpit." But what I didn't realize he meant was, "NO KIDDING! IT'S LIKE YOU'RE SITTING IN THE FREAKEN' COCKPIT!!!" Once I got my Reverb G2 there was no going back for me.

    Tiger II for 2.7

What do you mean? What needs to be updated?
  5. Ordered the CM3 on 28 June when the website said "out of stock". It shipped on 29 June, and is scheduled to arrive at my house in the U.S. on 8 July. It's been a good week.
  6. Not sure if this will do what you want, but just this morning I discovered "Wingman Camera" LAlt-F4. A quick search didn't show anyone had posted about it yet. I don't know how long it's been there, but after playing around with it for a short time, I am very enthusiastic about it.
  7. The only F-14s flying these days are in Iran. They are pretty old.
  8. No, not really. It's a 9g jet.
  9. Limits and a "limiter" are two different things. Recommend you google "F-15 Overload Warning System (OWS)"
  10. I think it just warns the pilot, doesn't it?
  11. 1. The F-15 does not have a limiter. The pilot can pull until he passes out or breaks the jet. 2. I think it implies the opposite. Without the glove vanes the F-14's max g at that speed would be less. If that's the case then the glove vanes might be called a g-enhancer. Someone can correct me if I am wrong. In fact the first jet I can remember with an actual g-limiter was the F-16.
  12. Yep. Complain away. You'll get no argument from me.
  13. Yep, and I think people still experiencing major performance loss from 2.7 have a reason to complain. Personally, I m a little disappointed they did that.
  14. Personally, I don't think about trimming, I just do it. Increase power = couple of clicks (or three or four) of nose down trim; decrease power = same, but nose up trim. (Full disclosure, sometimes I forget). But that is in game only because I have never flown jets that way in real life. That's why I didn't give an opinion. On the other hand, you offered a definitive declaration that trimming in combat would "invite disaster", so I just wanted to know what you based that on.
  15. Not even pitch trim in a jet or rudder trim in a prop? There can be extreme speed and power changes during a dogfight that will throw the plane wildly out of trim. Are you speaking from first hand experience?
  16. Not that writing this will do any good, but all you people complaining about the state of DCS belong on the Stable branch. If ED updates Stable with the same performance issues Open Beta has right now, then you well have a reasonable complaint. The fact that most multiplayer servers use Open Beta is irrelevant. ED is very transparent that Open Beta is intended for testing and fine-tuning new updates. Everybody knows that.
  17. Got it, thanks. I will watch that with great anticipation.
  18. Do you know when you will get to those of us in the higher numbers on Firecat's list? The more I fly in VR the more I see where PointCTRL is a game changer.
  19. Update: Installed the latest Radeon driver today and the problem I reported is gone. Driver Version 21.4.1
  20. It's understandable that ED has their hands full with higher priority tasks, so they should consider contracting this type of work out to some of the talented artists in their user community.
  21. Then maybe you should complain to the server hosts like Growling Sidewinder for upgrading.
  22. I feel for you. Why don’t you just reinstall 2.5.6 and wait until ED gets 2.7 squared away?
  23. Agreed. I have done multiple slow repairs.
  24. It looks to me like my FPS/frametime hits are occurring when looking at other aircraft in both VR and 2D. This happened everywhere I went in the Caucasus map, both single and multiplayer. I haven’t spent any time in the other maps since the upgrade. What I found interesting in the video I included below was when my frametimes spike, GPU utilization drops. And the GPU and CPU are never close to being 100% System Specs: 5600X, X570, 64GB RAM, 6700XT, Reverb G2 Removed all mods Windows 10 verified up-to-date Display drivers verified up-to-date AMD software settings are default Screenshots for DCS System and VR system, DCS log, and Track all attached below I also included a video of the monitor I made with my phone demonstrating what I saw on fpsVR https://drive.google.com/file/d/1F89VyvKX_M7kc8gdZkRc6p6PQy4bw7Xk/view?usp=sharing 2.7 performance drops dcs.log
  25. Level of detail? Unfortunately, no. I got those results out of the gate with the same settings I had in 2.5.6. I even set the default Low settings with no change. For reference I have: 5600X, 64GB, 6700XT, Reverb G2. SteamVR resolution is 38%/100%. DCS PD is 1.0 Everything is smooth with about 15ms frame time until I look at other aircraft, when it can go as high as 50ms. I even experience it if I look at aircraft with the F11 key.
