I'm a bit surprised no-one mentioned the analogy with a clock; whereas 12 o'clock = north 0 degrees, and every hour represents 30 degrees. :) Otherwise great thread.
  4. Will there be kneeboards included in the missions? Maybe I overlooked it but couldn't find the answer. Thanks. :)
  5. Here's Lex his vid about flying On Speed AoA in the Hornet.
  6. I have no problems if CA is needed to control the carrier, I'll pick the CA module up in a next sale. However, as someone who exclusively uses VR in DCS, I would like to see VR support for CA first, otherwise it's of no real use to me. :)
  7. Welcome and congrats to the Truegrit Team! I don't really have questions, just wanted to welcome you, and thanks for choosing the Eurofighter. Finally I can relive my youth days playing DiD EF2000. :)
  8. Wags replied the following to someone in the commentsection on the YT Carrier Launch Ops vid. Also confirmed by Wags is that you would have yellow shirts directing the plane the entire way to the catapult and off the arresting gear to the parking area. Glowsticks at night for marshalling at night confirmed as well. Last two after EA. Nice. :music_whistling:
  9. They are re-doing (3D scanning) the characters, so I assume they will also scan a salute, only seems logical. From a few weeks ago:
  10. Well, if it's only one guy, he's doing a great job so far on the Syria Map,although if that's the case, I suspect it will be a while before the map will be released:
  11. Whenever it'll be released, this is gonna be my first paid for campaign for sure. :) Got excited when I read the foundation of this campaign; the book, and of course mr. Miller.
  12. Thanks mate! I'm not too keen on the F-14B so very happy you've converted this campaign for us Hornet lovers. :D Again thanks for your effort!
  13. Must've missed that. Thanks!
  14. I know those vids. I've checked again, and the static crew are definitely moving (their bodies) slightly, not walking or anything but just to appear alive, like in the vid you posted. Quite nice, I like these kind of details. Check the Stay Home-vid at 2:00 and also 2:24. Behind the Hornet driving by. I'm gonna put a crowd on deck, that's for sure! ;)
  15. I'm guessing ED started working on the Supercarrier module during/short after the development/EA release of the Hornet, and the Tomcat was released only a year ago. BTW, in the Stay Home-vid, did I see that right and is the static deck crew moving a bit to make them look alive? Or am I dreaming and is static, really static? :)
  16. Indeed, after seeing the new 'stay at home' vid and especially the new carrier deck crew, I'm even more eager to get my hands on the Supercarrier. :D
  17. Thanks ED! Bought the Russian Helos and the F-5E. :)
  18. Yeah, well, nobody could have foreseen this.
  19. That looks really nice!
  20. On another note. I was wondering how you guys handle imported F10 menu items in VAICOM? I mean, how do you know what the exact command is, other than opening the mission without VAICOM active and checking the F10 menu, and/or checking the keywords list after import? Thanks.
  21. Not much is known, a lot is classified. There is the following vid: But that's not nearly enough to model this jet, not even close. So no, it won't be available in the next few decades. :)
  22. Worked for me, setting a custom path. Thank you very much sir! :)
  23. DCS OB 2.5.6 latest, just updated VAICOM PRO 2.5.17, DCS still stuck at loading 10%. Repair: Scripts/Speech/common.lua Scripts/Speech/speech.lua After the repair, DCS and missions work fine unless I start VA/VAICOM PRO which causes the same issue. Getting frustrating having to use the comms menu in VR.
  24. Oki, after the free weekend for the F-15C and the podcast from the folks of FPP, which ED specifically mentioned in their newsletter and with whom they've partnered up, I'm starting to get convinced this mystery module is gonna be the F-15C Eagle.
