  1. I would. Say €50?
  2. I've purchased a new monitor and a TrackIR solely for DCS. Few months later I've purchased a Rift. Never used the TrackIR since. In fact, I even put it away because it just sat there on my screen doing nothing, which started to irritate me. :P
  3. You probably already know this, but you can see the back seat of the F-14 in HB's video "Jester AI behind the scenes". :)
  4. Carrier module would be an instant buy for me!
  5. Hope so too, and that Cyph3r will respond as soon as they've investigated the problem.
  6. +1. Recently noticed the same thing, a little more resistance near the detents. I'm in the same boat as you, don't want to open it up as nothing is wrong with it (yet?).

    Mirrors

Look great but I too hope you can fold them for fps purposes in VR. :)
  8. I only own three aircraft at the moment, and I can say I know all three of them fairly well. Since I have no interest in WWII planes I won't be owning a lot of aircraft in the future, so I think I'll be able to hold my own.
  9. Same here. Great pedals!
  10. While metric is much more logical than imperial, it isn't that hard to calculate. Rather easy if you only need ballpark values. NM/KTS = KM x 2 (1 NM/KT is 1.8KM). FT = M / 3 (1 FT = 0.3 M or 30 CM).
  11. Most people use a HOTAS. Bind all necessary controls to the HOTAS, and some even map mouseclicks so they can click buttons in the cockpit using their head(set) for aiming the mousecursor and clicking the button with the assigned button. I myself just use the mouse along with a HOTAS. I think you can use the HTC controllers as well as the Touch from Oculus, but I never used it so don't know if that works okay.
  12. Yes, due to the update schedule ED uses, not because of testing purposes or something like that, I meant. Since they develop all the different systems for this aircraft in-house, unlike some other 3rd party developers. Doesn't really matter much anyway for me, I can wait two more weeks. ;)
  13. Don't see why it wouldn't be available on stable as well on release, since HB develops everything themselves whereas RB for instance does not and uses alot from ED. Or, so I've read somewhere on this forum. :)
  14. +1. But, if it's toned down a bit I guess that's a lot better. :)
  15. Great news! Lase targets ourselves. :)
  16. When I saw those images from the cockpit lighting, I couldn't help myself and pre-ordered it. Looks beautiful!
  17. Yeah, me too! Although I do a Case 1 in a constant turn, I start my break right about when I'm aligned to the island of the carrier, hit the 1% G's untill I reach gear down speed (250kts), then gear down, flaps full, relax the turn radius into a 40/45 degrees until hitting the 180 degree turn, while trimming on speed AoA, then decrease turn rate to 27-30 degress, keep the vertical velocity in check, also the height (visually mostly), easy that into the groove, and then land while checking the ball and visually the deck while maintaining on speed AoA. (VR). AAR is much harder for me, especially keeping the probe in the basket once it hits it. Strange, the different procedures different people find difficult. :)
  18. Try and open your mission through the "Mission" option in stead.
  19. "Like a bottomless beer.." Couldn't have said it better! Nice one Pikey. :) Happy 2019!
  20. Next to the IFEI you can select Zulu time, iirc.
  21. Get off the fence and get into VR. ;) You won't regret it. I was worried about the readabilty of gauges and DDI's/MFCD's in the cockpits, but actually I was really surprised with how clear everything is.
  22. All is well, it was just meant as a little joke, hence the winksmiley. :) Thanks for the tip though, I'm gonna try using it soon to see how it helps with the glideslope. I know, in VR it's much, much better. The feeling the first time hitting the wire in VR was an awesome sensation. By the way, I often watch your carrier trap vids, really cool with the mod to watch! Again, no worries. And happy holidays to you, and everyone.
  23. ICLS during daytime/CASE 1? Shame on you! ;)
  24. Cool wallpaper on your desktop on the first pic! :)
