Not yet considering the feature isn't even released yet. I recommend watching Wags' video.
-
Kiowa too most likely.

Black Shark is excellent. Can't go wrong with it for a great attack Helo experience. Also, the Kiowa already has clickable smoke grenades, it's been shown in videos. :joystick:

Bought the Buttkicker Gamer 2 Specifically for F-14 - love it
kengou replied to flameoutme's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Anyone know if this requires a dedicated sound card? I'm not much of an audiophile and usually just have the volume lowish on some cheap speakers so I never bothered getting a sound card. -
Landings, bah! show me your air to air refueling!!
kengou replied to Harley Davidson's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
I can refuel but I have to work the throttle constantly and find I often oscillate a bit forward and back. Very responsive and powerful engines. -
I'm sure many of us like myself are going to be pretty ignorant of how to interact with the new Supercarrier in terms of comms, deck crew, etc. Will there be included tutorial missions, or at least a manual, to go along with it?
-
In the future, try a more descriptive title for the problem you're having, otherwise having a generic thread title like this might cause people to overlook your thread who might know the answers.
-
I agree that the final manual should include EVERY system that is in the plane in DCS. This seems like a quick start manual where certain things are omitted to get it out the door with release.

The SU-33 has no hookup for a catapult so you'd need to just try a running start.

Please make Radar elevation usable with rotary an option
kengou replied to falcon_120's topic in Wish List
This is something I would be against simply because it doesn't work this way in the real thing. The real plane's avionics don't support an input in this fashion, nor moving an elevation dial "instantly" from one point to another. It's designed to be moved up or moved down in relative terms, not absolute ones, with some speed of movement. I want the simulation to be close to the real thing and that includes input. No one is at a disadvantage here either as far as I can tell - buttons work perfectly fine for this type of elevation control. And rotating dials work if you put in a large dead zone, too. I suppose some enterprising players could even mod a spring into their dials. -
Is it possible to designate CCRP target w/o targeting pod?
kengou replied to Ala12Rv-watermanpc's topic in JF-17 Thunder
With HUD as SOI, a diamond appears near the top of the HUD. Pressing target lock should lock that diamond to the ground and steer CCRP solutions to it. -
You need to use the HOTAS command to change weapons and be in AG or AA master mode.
-
No need to speculate. Razbam has shown us already:
-
Yes, it's very easy. You can enter a custom waypoint by hitting DATA on the EHSD and entering a waypoint number higher than the rest of your waypoints. Doesn't matter which one. Then enter the coordinates. Once done, close out of the DATA subpage and select the waypoint, then select DESG to make that waypoint a target point. Finally, on the TPOD, click "slave" on the bottom right to slew it to that point.
-
The radar in SEA mode should show ships as green contacts. Once you lock it, you can fire the 802 at it.
-
The price should reflect the complexity of the aircraft to simulate, not how popular it is in real life. Being easily as complex a plane as the Hornet or F-16 (based on all indications so far) I would not expect any less of a price. I do wish we had the opportunity for a discount like other expensive planes before the full price, but that's up to Deka/ED.

X-52 Rotaries for Radar ANT elevation
kengou replied to Kappa's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
See https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=251164 The problem is they seem to have copied the controller code from the Hornet because it acts like a momentary axis with a center, just like the Hornet has, rather than an absolute rotary axis like on the real jet. It is not intentional and needs to be fixed. -
Yet another JDAM post (need help re-learning due to logic update)
kengou replied to obious's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
TOO cannot drop simultaneously on multiple targets. Only PP mode can do that. And PP mode currently only works with coordinates input via UFC. So to answer your question: Deselect all stations from the QTY option, so they drop one at a time instead of together. Then, designate one waypoint, pickle, undesignate, select a new waypoint, designate, pickle, and repeat for each bomb. -
Right now, F-14 case 1 pattern is the hardest to land for me. Getting the proper 3/4 mile groove entry is a roll of the dice until I can get better at all the prior checkpoints. It’s been a while since I tried but I remember the F-15 was difficult for me to land without bursting a tire.

I'd like to use Kneeboard Builder to simply move the kneeboard and maybe resize it since I use two monitors with Cougar MFD panels. The KBB website doesn't seem to have a guide on how to do this. Can anyone point me to instructions? Thanks!

Frankly I can't believe they didn't ship the F-16 with the radar gunsight (among other things). I can't think of another plane that shipped without it (that has it in real life).
-
I can't think of any way right now to do this. Probably an unimplemented feature. As far as I know, we can add waypoints manually via UFC, or we can create a flyover markpoint, or we can create a waypoint offset. That's it right now.
-
Well they have very similar roles that overlap a lot. Eventually, the F-16 will be better for SEAD and Wild Weasel with the HTS pod. Hornet will have more standoff weapons like the SLAM-ER and Harpoon that the Viper can't carry though.
-
Once complete I would prefer Viper to Hornet, the looks, cockpit, avionics and Hotas are all much better (personal preference). Hornet is very rugged and amazingly responsive at low speeds but the Viper is just legendary at bfm even against modern designed fighters like Euro fighter or Rafale or Su-30.

See this thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=254210 The behavior has changed and it seems this is the way it it supposed to work in real life. To release multiple JDAMs in one pass, you need to manually input coordinates for each station in PP mode ahead of time, or you need to quickly shift the TPOD or waypoint to a new target and designate it in between releasing each bomb.
