  1. You need to set your LRFD and Missile channel individually. 1. Go to Code submenu 2. Select Laser code preset (The letter) for LRFD 3. (Go to Freq and change code if you wish) 4. Go to Channel submenu 5. Select Missile channel that you wish to change the code for (1,2,3,4) on the top 6. Select the laser preset letter that you wish that channel to be assigned to 7. Select Missile submenu 8. Select primary channel laser code preset to match the LRFD setting on the left I have had no issues with it after I figured that out. You can only set the missiles to track one of the 4 channels you set up in the channel submenu and you need to select the channel that you want to track on the missile page. and missiles and the laser designator need to be set up individually. the code changes affect all missiles at once though (so unfortunately no rippling on 16 different lasers very quickly).
  2. George is cheating. He can see through clouds and all manners of obstructions and still get hellfire shots to hit. Pretty sure lasers don't go through clouds either. I saw this in caucasus when engaging a target in a fairly high valley that was filled with clouds. George would have no issue identifying targets and engaging them through the very thick soup. Neither TV, FLIR or lasers should penetrate clouds. Again, big multiplayer session, no track. But it should be fairly easy to reproduce.
  3. all they need to do is push the chop button to ruin the day. or the engine fire buttons (when they eventually work correctly). or just unload a hellfire into a friendly airbase and have the pilot be banned for it, because it's "his/her" kill. Or jettison weapons. Or do any other number of stupid nonsense. I think blowing up the canopy is the most harmless thing out of those options. let in a bit of fresh air.
  4. Rotate 90° and push to detonate the canopy sides. Used when cockpit door jammed due to crash or just before ditching in water. Should kill or give concussions to cows and infantry in the line of fire up to 50ft as per Don't forget to put the visor down.
  5. I bet they also have a $2000 tool to bend it around the hand holdy thing properly.
  6. This is most definitely not correct as is. The first uncage is different from when you cage it manually and then uncage. From the second time onward you can just scroll like any other ADI in DCS and it'll snap back to uncage, without the need of right mouse button at all.
  7. What is a modifire button? Do you mean a modifier? If you add a custom modifier, there are two options. Switch and button mode. One toggles the states when you press it, the other one is released when the input ceases (the default for the existing modifiers shift, alt and control, etc). Please be more specific about what you did and what you mean.
  8. Every time I visit the site it switches to german. Please add a cookie to store the language setting and a database entry to store the language that is used once I log in.
  9. The SAI knob is behaving oddly. To uncage you need to right mouse click and hold and then move the mouse up or down. This is unlike any other ADI uncage. You can not for example - Hold LMB + scroll. - Hold RMB + scroll (at the very least this one should work) - Hold LMB + Move mouse. - Just scroll. All of those just move the knob a tiny bit, but it doesn't uncage. Also, when caged, RMB doesn't give any visual feedback, indicating that moving the mouse now would do anything different from before. Only the RMB + mouse move works, which is unique to this SAI. Something appears to be off about it. Usually to cage an ADI you'd pull the knob out and turn it and it would stay out. When pulling it would also reset to horizon. When you then turn the knob while caged in any other DCS aircraft it would snap back to the uncaged (in) position. I don't know how the real apache SAI knob works though.
  10. I tested it again, it does not shut off even after several minutes.
  11. I agree. It's quite annoying to have to bind a button for it. a special option to disable it (as in you can press the trigger anyway) would be nice.
  12. If you want the track file from a 5 hour multiplayer session then tell me where to find it and up the upload limit on the forum to like 50GB and I'll send it. I told you what the problem is, other people even confirmed it. It's your job to fix bugs, not mine. If I encounter a bug and I get the save track button, I'll happily save it for you. I just want to enjoy the sim. I do not get the track save button on multiplayer though. So no tracks for you, I'm afraid.
  13. in route (RTE) click ADD, then select the waypoint either with the cursor or with L1 and the KU, then click in the list on the right where you want it inserted. it is inserted before the waypoint you select in the list. if you want to put it at the end, hit END.
  14. Apparently the real apache has the squelch switches spring loaded to the center position (because there is a set in each cockpit and they both control the same radio hardware). Squelch should be on (up) or you get raw audio in your headset from all 5 radios. I think right now it's incorrectly implemented. But yes, put them up.
  15. Of course the light knob should be on, how else are you gonna boresight? Why should the center tank be off? The startup checklist sets it on, so naturally a hot start should have that enabled. also 4. not 3.
  16. I set my thrustmaster warthog throttle EAC switch up as a modifier. This works. Thank you.
  17. See attached track. I was hovering and told george to engage some targets. but he sucks with the hellfires, so i switched over. he hovered for a moment, then decided to do a 180° roll to the left and crash. George Crashes.7z.001 George Crashes.7z.002
  18. I set up a completely new computer like 4 years ago with decent hardware that I could get for my budget. It's struggling really hard as they just keep piling on with DCS. Maybe they should do a performance pass once the big bugs are dealt with. Or finally get around to implementing vulcan.
  19. I'd rather have a special option to get them gone instead of a key binding. It's distracting and probably causing unnecessary physics calculations that just eat up FPS. Also "after-market component" sounds really fancy for what's basically a metal hook. I bet they charge $20 for that thing.
  20. Is it just me or did you set your text color to light gray? This is hard to read. I have noticed that slaving the TADS to GHS seems to also alleviate the desync. LMC screws everything over, so don't do that. Commonly laser needs to be toggled off and on again. Sometimes rotor break caution comes up, toggling that in the pilot seat fixes it. If the APU status is desycned then putting the APU on in the pilot seat puts it out in the co pilot seat and it will just stay desynced no matter what. It doesn't seem to affect anything though. Possibly affecting fuel sync, but with 2 hours flight time I don't think that's an issue.
  21. To manually enter coordinates you go 1. Point 2. Add 3. Ident> 4. Enter Identify (check ABR sub page from TSD->Point->ABR to find out what identities exist). If you leave it blank it will default to WP in NAV phase and TP in ATK phase. 5. Enter a free text description of 3 letters maximum that will show up on the TSD. If you leave it blank it will automatically fill in the next number in the list (W##, T##, C##, etc) 6. Enter coordinates. It will populate your current grid reference and place the cursor at the northing. Enter 8 digit MGRS. Remember that to convert the 10 digit mgrs from the f10 map you leave out the last digit of each group of 5, and NOT just cut off the last 2 digits. If your INU is not yet aligned, the grid might be (wildly) off. Alternatively you can enter L/L in [D]DDMMmm as N123456E0123456 for 12°34.56' N / 012°34.56' E 7. Confirm the altitude in ft and hit enter. If you move the cursor during coordinate entry, the coordinates are updated to the cursor position, so you can place, for example, an Airfield marker (Ident: AG) with the cursor. If you placed a point down, you can edit it's location by selecting the point 1. Point 2. Point> -> Ku -> Enter point identifier OR Select with cursor 3. Edit 4. Enter new free text/leave blank to leave unchanged 5. Enter new coordinates as described above. 6. Confirm altitude
  22. Laser warning receiver is not yet implemented and will come later in early access. You need to set your CMWS audio switch from NAV to CMWS, have your ADF volume up and master volume up. The audio knob on the panel has no function.
  23. I only have one ministick on my thrustmaster warthog. I want to use that for the cursor movement, then I need to use my flight stick for the TADS controls. This leaves me without the option to take over for the pilot, as then I don't have anything left for the cyclic. It would be nice if you could make it so you can have both TADS and cyclic on the same axis.
  24. What does the radio frequency interferometer actually do? From what I read before it seemed like it would analyze radar reflections and tell you the type of object you are looking at with the radar like the non cooperating target recognition in an aircraft radar. Like it would be able to tell you SA15 or T55 on the radar screen. From what I read in ED's manual it was made out to be a passive system. But we already have RWR receivers. What does it actually do then and how does it work?
  25. Same here. He should store them as target points, but nothing is actually stored, neither waypoints or targets. (pressing store in NAV mode generates a waypoint) Targets are only shown in attack mode.
