  1. Thanks alot for posting these! Appreciate it
  2. AV8BNA_UTM_Cooridnates_Input_be1217eb-bda1-4d69-a174-ca61d503c516.pdf Razbam Elmo posted this a while back, should help with the UTM entering. As far as working with JDAM's...I am not your guy for that process. I have been putting off learning that part of the Harrier for some reason.
  3. Thanks for posting this QuiCon! I've started reading it and it is a great reference for what the A-10 can do!
  4. Warthog: Flying the A-10 in the Gulf War by William Smallwood is a good place to start if you are looking for information about how it was used in a conventional warfare setting. There are a few Osprey Publishing books about its use in Afghanistan as well for more of a modern look at how the Hog has been used. As for advice, just keep at it trying to learn the thing. I found that by learning the A-10 as a first module I was able to learn everything else relatively quickly after so consider yourself studying for future modules as well!
  5. Sweet! Any rough ETA? This looks really good.
  6. I think the Balkans is a no brainer with a portion of Italy for NATO forces to fly out of and the Adriatic Sea. I can't think of a better map that would suit our current list of aircraft except maybe Korea...
  7. Chuck, appreciate all the work you put into these guides. As a fellow Canadian, I salute you!
  8. I guess I should have searched it before. But its a little bizarre that just because the VR crowd had a glitch with it, it gets dumped all together. Perhaps a toggle in the settings or something could have been done, oh well. I kinda liked it. Maybe a guy should start up a rant thread like the AGM 65F. "I paid for my visor! Give me my visor Raz!!! etc etc etc etc, walls of text about visors and their authenticity etc etc etc." I joke I joke!!!
  9. I've been noticing for a few patches now that when you lower the sun visor it doesn't have the old 'sun glasses' effect of dimming the sun like it used to. Bug?
  10. I think a lot of mission/campaign makers are going more towards making the wingman a seperate flight and using triggers and commands to have him follow you etc. By doing this I believe you could set it up that he would be invincible in the advanced options of the editor? It's been a while since I've fiddled in the editor, maybe someone more experienced could chime in..
  11. I agree! Very much enjoy the Harrier, have for a couple years now.
  12. Yep this is correct. Once the patch downloads on steam goto the DLC section on steam and download the Mariana's as a seperate free 'DLC'
  13. Sounds like it could be an INS issue? Sorry I can't be of more help, I prefer to use the more legacy ord on the Harrier.
  14. In maintenance hours for sure the Apache beats any helo out there. Hopefully ED simulates that by only allowing you to fly it 70% of the hours in a week
  15. Double Amen
  16. Just finished the campaign about an hour ago. From start to finish I really enjoyed it! Great work & thanks again. Well worth the price in my opinion
  17. In my experience for every mission it has been to do all your startup stuff and end with the 3 autopilot switches (*pitch roll heading). I haven't had a problem yet getting takeoff permission.
  18. I'm sure this has already been added somewhere down the line, but the ability to get a lasing unit to lase a target without the use of scripts or the JTAC commands.
  19. This is correct. You have to make gun runs throttled up as the gun is actuated with bleed air from the engine. Same here I don't know the exact RPM but it is definitely in the min 70-80% range.
  20. This is a good point, im thinking about the old Falcon 4.0 Korea map and with all of that urban build up properly modelled in DCS you'd have gaming rigs spontaneously combusting across the world. I know all I'd be left with is a molten pile of goo on my desk lol
  21. Really enjoying the campaign so, missions are simple yet challenging. In my opinion, one of the best out there for the shark. Thanks for the hard work creators!
  22. I've been giving this philosophy a try and I have to say I like it! I used to jump around with modules all the time and sort of sucked at all of them, but I've been sticking with the Ka-50 again and I am going to this whole month. I can already see my level of skill with it improving way more quickly. Thanks for sharing this idea.
  23. I just finished the second mission without trouble and so far I quite like this campaign. So far it is just the right amount of challenge for me. I appreciate the work the creator put into this one! Thanks Armen
  24. Very true. I think I'll start going back to the A-10 just because of this thread
  25. I also used to be almost exclusively a Hog and Black Shark guy, but I've found the Harrier from a systems point of view easier to jump back into from a long break than the Hog, which seems to keep me going back to it.
