  1. Not to mention that in the image shown it appears the Gun Pod is actually shown on the 'empty' airplane.
  2. DLSS has taken me from 50FPS to 100FPS, unreal!!!
  3. Just wanted to bump this one. Has anyone else encountered this bug? Helo's only start at the bow of the ship and same with a hot start Harrier.
  4. Same here I run through Steam and after unbinding my account on the DCS website I am having no issues running the Open Beta game with all DLC. As a note, I have no mods etc. Just all official content loaded.
  5. Ya, thanks! I found them awhile back and posted it in another thread. Its funny sometimes these little updates that don't get a lot of explanation and the community has to figure it out! Part of DCS
  6. Wow, haha! This was a good way to get the old heart rate going, I have almost 3000hrs on Steam in DCS and I thought all my <profanity> was gone to the wind!! Easy to figure out how to unbind once the instructions were posted but good grief...
  7. I believe the issue is the MFD themselves not the settings of the TPOD. If you adjust the gain/constrast on the MFD you should see better results. Also, in the game options, under the 'special' tab you'll see there are default brightness settings for the MFD's, you can tinker with those as well.
  8. Finally picked this one up with the recent sale, just a few missions in but this is really helping me push my learning on the 'Hog' to a new level. Thanks BD!
  9. Which Laser Mav's are you using? You can only self lase with the E2's, the other laser Mav's need to be JTAC lased.
  10. Will you add the Harrier to your list of versions of this mission?
  11. I just posted a bug report about this for the Harrier. It appears the default setting is too dark but it can be corrected using the Contrast and Gain setting. This is for the Harrier only as I have only tested that.
  12. I'd like to discredit my own bug! After further testing, playing with the constrast and gain buttons on the MFD sorted this out. As a bit of a note tho, it seems like the default settings are a bit dark for daylight conditions. Maybe something for Raz to consider on their next patch? Anyways, this can be labeled as 'NOT A BUG'. Thanks.
  13. Just my two bits here, but I'm thinking with more and more helo and Cold War modules being developed that obviously use area of effect weapons like rocket and dumb bombs ED is going to be addressing this issue sooner rather than later.
  14. @Dagobert666 These missions are OUTSTANDING! I just finished the deep strike mission with the FARP refuel, I think I spent 2hrs plus in the cockpit and enjoyed all of it, even the long flights in either direction. Thanks for doing this, these are going to be the missions that really help myself and probably a lot of other people get familiar with the Apache! Looking forward to your next project, that is, if you have something else cooking up? Regards.
  15. I tried a hot start mission of my own in Syria to test some stuff out and it seems that the MFD lighting has been darkened, which is good because it seemed to be WAAAAY to light before to the point I couldn't hardly see the green text on the EHSD. BUT! Now it appears to the MFD gamma itself is so dark that you can't even use the FLIR on the TPOD, regardless of gain settings. Anyone else experiencing something similar? Not sure if it is DCS wide or contained to the Harrier. I use the Apache quite a bit and all seems good there.
  16. Hi, any news to share with your campaign progress?
  17. Those are gnarly pics, thanks for sharing. I just love the A-10 in that timeframe, blast from the past!
  18. Its a payware Harrier Campaign requiring Persian Gulf as the map.
  19. Enjoyed the heck out of the campaign, any chance we'll see what Det 'A' was up to during the same conflict? Something ship based perhaps?
  20. We have to pray to the DCS Gods that the AH-1Z will one day be a thing. THEN, we can have AIM 9's properly
  21. While I do agree with ground fire being a tad bit accurate I think a lot of the problem comes from how folks are employing the A10 or other ground attack aircraft which is entering the kill zone of enemy defensive weaponry. The GAU 8 is effective out to 3nm, its not accurate but you can strike hits which can keep you out of the BMP/T72/MANPAD return fire range. The other option you have is if you don't want to be affected by return fire from APC's or Tanks create missions with them as static objects and then make your dreams of danger close strafing runs come true. At the end of the day strafing runs against armor is cool and fun for sure, but there is a reason the Mav and GBU were developed and that was to keep attack aircraft out of the kill zone of AA systems as much as possible so getting slapped around by AAA if you are flying straight and predictable should be expected if you are below 10,000ft attacking ground targets.
  22. I seem to be having an issue with Helo's on the Tarawa, regardless of what starting position I pick I always start right off the bow at Ramp Position #1, I dunno if this is a known bug? Maybe I have too many assets on the deck but none of them are on the other parking spots. BUt I 100% agree, lets get the full 7 or 8 parking zones usable!!!
  23. Sure would be nice if we could get some movement on this issue?! There was an open beta when we had the carrier comms back in 2019 or something like that, just put it back in lol how hard can it be??
  24. @AlphaJuliet Can we get this investigated into and/or relayed to Raz? Thx.
