  1. I was watching some video's on this throttle, but i can't imagine those cables to last. Are they sold seperately for a normal price and are they easily replacable ?
  2. Yes this is normal behaviour i think. In TWS your radar slew follows your bugged track. You will notice that if you or enemy dives or climbs your antenna elevation does the same. I also think that TWS keeps your track smack in the middle of the scan zone. I haven't used TWS in a while though, because RWS seems like a much better mode. Unless you need to engage more than 2 targets at once.
  3. Wow that blows. What if you enable 1 controller, than start Steam VR (you are then in that little VR room). And then you hit 'settings' with your controller ? There's options there as well Also i read that the oculus software has 'it's own' motion smoothing stuff going on , and apparently Steam's motion smoothing is disabled with the oculus. There's gotta be a setting to turn it off somewhere i imagine.
  4. The ghost image may be Steam's 'motion smoothing'. Try turning it off and see if it disappears. I also have a bit of ghosting when it's enabled but it doesn't bother me all that much. Yeah dude just watched your video that's Steam's motion smoothing, it looks exactly the same. Do you see the little blue, orange and red boxes in the upper left of your goggles ? I believe that when fps is too low, Steam 'guesses' a frame and inserts it. That can lead to a little bit of ghosting sometimes. If you do not see the boxes it may still be enabled, because you can turn the indicators off but keep motion smoothing enabled. I can see it myself when i am going really fast in F3 view and shoot by the camera. 5. Wait can we not just tune in to the right frequency with our radio in the aircraft and be done with it ?
  6. So when switching to dogfight mode and then switching from aim9 to amraam. Then you go back to missile mode or navigation mode or whatever. After you've done that, and you switch back to dogfight mode, you will hear the aim9 seeker even though you have amraam selected. If you switch missiles again and back the sound disappears. It is only a very small bug but it can kill you, because you hear the sound of the aim9 but you have amraam selected. Anyone else notice this, or has this already been reported ?
  7. Well had to replace my cable once already, so it could also be your cable that has a fracture and is giving artifacts.
  8. Slowly but surely they are becoming available it seems. Very small numbers though :(((( For Europe, keep an eye on the french webshop "LDLC" they have by far the best stream of sticks about every weeks new small supply.
  9. Wasn't the aim120B , introduced in 1994 ? And wasn't the Aim54A , already replace by the C variant in 1984 ? How can the Mk60 analog seekerhead compare to the 120B digital seekerhead from 20 years later ?
  10. I think it is in Windows 10 as well, but in Windows 11 it's ON by default. And about your problem @Phantom88 , i think that's a totally different thing. From what i am reading is that your FPS is actually too high, or your refresh rate too low? When you speak of "tearing", this usually means that your FPS is a lot higher than the refresh rate of your monitor of goggles. Your monitor/goggles can not keep up with the FPS and you get this : That should be easily fixable though, you either up the refresh rate of your monitor/goggles if possible, or increase your graphic settings so your FPS comes down a bit. I would first see what refresh rate your pimax goggles is set to, and if it's set to 90 or higher, then change pixel density back to 1.0 in DCS and see what happens.
  11. Does this still do anything though with from windows 7 and newer ? I would be very surprised if it even made 1 fps difference.
  12. Please don't tell HB, they will actually implement it. Below a picture of the 70's Joking aside, i even heard on satal or tact stream that it's gotten even way harder to notch/chaff/ground clutter the phoenix lately. The MK60 is from the 70's, and it's anlog. And that missile WAS build to attack non manouvring bombers. Why is it behaving like a cruise missile and tracking extremely low flying and notching F16's throught the trees ? Surely even you F14 guys can admit that the MK60 seeker is overperforming grossly ?
  13. In VR? Does it actually make any difference at all ? I'm skeptical i go test now Well you're right there is a difference but they still look horrible in VR. The difference is certainly not enough to justify losing 15% performance , good lord. And that was at "light scattered". No for me the clouds stay on low, and to OFF whenever i can.
  14. Clouds on Ultra in VR ? Why would you do that, they look horrible either way don't they ?
  15. Wow what an amazing labour intensive write up. In all honesty though i skimmed through it, i saw 80% in steam VR resolution. Oof i tried 125% today and quickly switched back to 150% though. How do you manage with 80% ? I guess i'll have to read the rest of it now
  16. No it's not. The 1970's analog MK60 is not an "overkill version of the amraam" . Unless it's makers had the ability to travel 40 years to the future, and put that technology is this ancient vietnam war era missile . It's seeker is grossly overperforming.
  17. Has this ever been adressed ? I see MK60's from the 1970's with analog seekers track tiny fighters that are chaffing and notching , through the trees while skimming the earth . The old analog MK60 is like a 2020 terrain following cruise missile once it's active.
  18. Why do you guys always assume i 'do bad' vs F14's ? For every 20 kills i make, i die once. I do have a problem with double standards. Even if the F14's ECM was NOT kaputt and doing weird stuff the way it is now, why would you even implement ECM at all on your aircraft while at the same time keeping your own aircraft immune to all ECM for all eternity ? That is simply not right.
  19. Yes that is what i usually do as well. Good news for the OP is that the 1080 ti , because of the situation with GFX cards, is still pretty sellable. I was just looking and people are asking 500-600 euro's for 1080 ti's. If OP wants both(card and 12 series) he could sell his 1080ti , get a 12700 or 12600K and a 3080 (or ti) and be done with it. Or indeed stay on windows 10 and go with AMD like you mentioned (Bossco82) in your post. OP needs to brew some cofffee and watch these Tech Jezus videos :
  20. Oh and if you want to wait untill graphics card get 'normal price' again you can wait forever. Nvidia is already stopping with producing their own geforce 30 cards, and the other brands are not going to 'slash prices'. Why would they ? Maybe when the 4 series comes around , the 3 series will become cheaper altough i also doubt that because the 4 series is supposed to be another giant leap forward (2x as fast again, or more even ?) and i doubt they will be readily available. Isn't Nvidia even re-producing the 20 series now and selling them for a premium, simply because they can ? I honestly think this is the new normal price for years to come. Just get that 3080 or 3080 ti If they become anywhere near MSRP (700 dollars) again within the next 1,5 years i will pay you the difference , i'm that certain about it. https://www.hardwaretimes.com/nvidia-reportedly-halts-production-of-nvidia-rtx-30-series-gpu-to-avoid-price-plummet/ Of course you could wait untill this "super" refresh of the 30 series, or even for the 4-series, but they might be in high demand again and you'd be in teh same boat, but a year later.
  21. Just read i guess. Here's some google thing i took from the internet. https://www.investopedia.com/terms/e/ethereum.asp I'm no expert, i just buy the dips (or what i think are the dips :D) and hope for the best , but there are companies behind these coins that build very useful applications for banking, gaming, internet security, the posssiblilities are endless really. But yes, there's also projects that fail and become nothing. And there are always scammers in EVERY aspect of life.
  22. There's also only a grand total of 1 ECM that uses a mechanic (blinking) that is known to cause issues with DCS. Why even implement that in the first place is a mystery to me, when you know it's troublesome but whatever it's there. So with that in mind, can you not see how it is a bit weird that a module has an ECM shield that breaks the game, while it's own radar is immune to all ECM because "haven't gotten around to it" ? For three years ?
