  1. Might be a stupid question, but you are on Open beta? It's no instant mission, it's found under training.
  2. Did you shoot the T-55? The designations for the Target points are not in synch with the instructions. After fiddeling around I found the tank and after shooting that sucker the mission progressed.
  3. Nope, all good, no fail. To fix it, I had to go short man and than back to auto and the wings "aligned themself with the bug"
  4. Let's talk Wing-sweep. I ran into an issue last night but I'm not sure if I can reproduce it, since I'm away now from the computer. We were doing an MP mission which involved some bombing. I did put the wings in Bomb mode, which did work fine. Comming off the run, we were engaged by enemy fighters and switched to A2A in which I selected wing sweep Auto, which was also shown in the Indicator, though I did not pay any more intentions on the whole issue. After a while, with my ride feeling a little bit funny, I figured out, even so auto indication was shown, the bug almost at 20 deg, the wings were still stuck in Bomb mode, no fail indication. I moved the bug in manual back, and then back to Auto and that was when the wings start moving again, and kept doing so. Since I did not had a problem since last patch (but using only Auto and Man) I'm not sure if we talking a bug here,
  5. Depends I did it in gray, and it was breaking right away, but I suspect a problem with my printer. In black PLA it bends and warps during pull (switch is kinda hard to operate) but I modified the file a little, so that I can operate the switch better without pulling on the handle. Handle stays on for cosmetic reason. Just in case I made one a little more sturdy, but did not print it yet. Couple of days more of printing. Currently I print the VDI mounting bracket, after that most probably the VDI back cover. After that, the HSD will be replaced. What I like is, if I peak under the hmd everything is where it shows in VR. So again, thank you for sharing the files. I'm able to modify stuff to my needs, but would never be able to design stuff like that myself.
  6. Starting to get my stuff set up. Using your files make things way easyer, thank you for sharing. Trying to figure out how to mount that stuff Looks funny on my Monstertech template
  7. Hmm, sounds like a case 3 / night scenario. In case 3 you need to turn on Master Light switch, as said above.
  8. Isn't it been said that the "computer" of the WCS is very much a old piece of crap (during the introduction the hottest <profanity> though). If you are old enough, you would remember that you would be able to observe the TI-30 calculating stuff, just as a analogy. That said, track files need processing power which need cpu cycles and these were low these days. Thus the big block radar cells to make it working with the available hardware. I have hands on experience with GBAD radars from that time frame, which did the same stuff: build in hardware to digitize the returns, but the WS computer was also pretty slow and used huge correlation cells where everything in that thing was ONE target. As an operator, one was able to figure out that there were more than that, if the resolution of the radar was good enough to deliver the data. So yes, RWS und TWS are two very different things, which delivered totally different things to the operators for further considerations. Yes Operators, like the RIO, which worked with the analog part anyhow. Who needs a stupid computer to tell one what to do.
  9. A2A is currently screwed. As much as I understand, it is correct for ED and not correct for the guys who do A2A refueling for life. Just dial in the tanker in T/R mode for now.
  10. Yeah, as Strikeman points out, that are the files I based the build on. Luckily the grips were done by a talented guy, I could never do them myself at least that trigger is from me
  11. You should go back to your flying school. Just kidding, of course.
  12. There is a thing like radar resolution cell and the lack of computing power in these early radars.
  13. I'm with you, the computer voice is a total immersion killer. If you mentally put that aside, it gets better. After the first 2 missons, actually after 10 sec of the first, hearing that terrible computer, I was ready to trash the campaign, but if you manage to get this into the background of your mind (very hard, I still cringe) and open up to what's going on, I think you could enjoy. From the mission design standpoint, I like the campaign so far (stuck due to lack of time currently), but you have to really be open to spend the time denoted on the briefing screen. If you are in a hurry, better don't start, it will get to the point where you are ready to quit due to "nothing going on". Since you mentioned Fear of the Bones, I consider the cap mission where really nothing happens for what, 30 minutes, one of the best. You are capping and you know they are out there, just nothings happen. If you give it a chance, you will have the same in this campaign - minus the great voice acting, concur. That said, I only play if I'm up for a potential 1,5h of boredom, even so I was never bored, besides what I would have been doing the real thing (and I can pause and take a leak ;).)
  14. Most probably there is no way to please everyone. I, for example, hate these airquake mission. You take off and bam...5000 enemies to be shot down by a single player aircraft. I really enjoying the missions so far. There is so much going on, that I struggle to keep SA all the time. If you would bother to check, even so I might not doing anything tactical in the moment, there is suddenly <profanity> hitting the fan and I bet you don't grasp a 100% whats going on where and who is doing what in that second. For me it is part of the immersion that I'm not alone and that other flights are busy engaging stuff while I'm in a quiet corner. That said, sure there is room for improvement, the voice over are talked about already, but I would not call it offensive to play missions which would happen in a real life cyclic ops cycle. Maybe a disclaimer for "Attention - real life like ops- you might get bored" might be in order.
  15. I will, but you have at least wait till tomorrow, since I'm away from my computer. For the Trigger assembly you want to look in thingiverse, I posted the files there. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5368280 The Fusion360 file is actually quite a mess, but I can share as well as soon as I'm back. Mind that it is not completely finished, since I changed some stuff while building and did not re-check, while other stuff is not incorporated yet, such as the spacing of the grips. They are a little too far apart from each other to my liking. But that would be something to be figured out by you. Since I have no experience in CAD and Fusion the timeline is a total disaster and the way I did a lot of stuff gives a CAD guy most probably a heart attack. If I forget about sharing, please give me a ping via PM. Now if I only would know how this Apache stuff would work , guess there is no way around readying the f... manual.
  16. Did the first test flight, not sure if we will become friends. Switches all working (at least the once that are implemented yet) but I don't know if I will keep interest in the Apache. Anyhow, off to the MFD. Lots of wiring still to do....
  17. This.
  19. After the F-4 campaign, he better starts to work on right now, besides to complete the B campaign, of course.
  20. Nur wenn die Parameter beim koppeln schon nicht stimmen. Hab heute mal fix was ausprobiert und war dabei nicht auf dem gleitpfad. Danach ging s ganz schön ab
  21. Did you check that DLC is out?
  22. I have one or two admin remarks to this Mission 1. As usual I would love to have the Bullseye in the Map and more important in the Nav System (like FP) - helps tremendous with SA. Already put it myself in during startup, but would be nice to have it in the mission already 2. The mission is barely playable in VR. Got a beefy system but been CPU limited almost the whole mission. Might be a little much going on. 3. Mission worked fine until platform. Game froze 4. Mission did run fine 2 times (first time I had to abort due to real life, but Trigger seemed to fired 5. @JupiterJoe The stack altitude depends on who is in front of you, I believe. I got put at A20 6. I could not reach overlord on the frequency for picture update - which would have been helpful. Got all the necessary calls though. Conclusion: Nice mission but a little too much depending on a beefy system.
  23. ACLS for the Tomcat is fixed and works ok.
  24. Known bug, heatblur announced internal fixed. For the time being, just cycle the transfer switch to either fwd or aft and then back to normal and everything works like it should.
