  1. If no delays occur the current plan is for late January.
  2. If you haven't seen it, I suggest watching CasmoTV youtube, he is an RL AH-64D Pilot and one of the SMEs for the AH-64D DCS module, he flew the apache, and according to his words its more or less ready for EA, just a few polishes to be done. https://youtu.be/bDzgaN_iWPg
  3. Have exactly the same problem here. The gauge just jumps instantly from 0 to 1000
  4. We still don't have an opportunity to share ground target coordinates between F/A-18C flights. A-10C has had this feature since unmemorable times.
  5. It is probably a temporal feature while the new FLIR technology for DCS is being developed. What is interesting is that HB has developed a really good and independent solution to their LANTIRN TGP, it looks great.
  6. I understand that Aircraft from the 80s should not be compared to aircrafts from 2000+. We have Mig-19, Mig-21, M2K, and so on. Now, look at the servers and what 85% of players fly on. Right, that is 16,18, and a bit of 14. ] Usually there is only 1 cold-war era server that has 10+ players. There simply isnt that many people enjoying the old stuff. I understand that DCS is a simulator, but you have to look at it from the gameplay view as well. There are some people like me and perhaps you that enjoy DCS for its realism and the environment that it represents, we don't care about our K/D ratio. The majority of people in PVP multiplayer DCS like to pick the modern stuff in order to have no disadvantage over the opponent. That's just human nature. 9-13 would have more use in DCS and you can't argue with it. At the moment there is simply no full-fidelity redfor opponents for blufor aircrafts. Doubt that we will see 9-13 due to the lack of documentation. That's the only thing I am trying to say.
  7. Would have been really nice to see 9-13 instead of 9-12. 9-12 is not capable of carrying any fox 3 missiles, and most probably will not stand a chance against F/A-18C and F-16CM. We all know that DCS stands on F-18, F-16, and F-14. At the moment there is no worthy opponent for them.
  8. As far as I know zoom levels were relatively the same, but after the addition of ATFLIR Pod they have cut the Litening pod zoom level because people were complaining that ATFLIR is useless since Litening has superior zoom levels. 2.7.1.6430 Update Changelog
  9. This has happened to me a few times in the Hind since the release, and it is a retreating blade stall. It can be caused by high speeds, as well as numerous other factors. You are more likely to get one if you have the following conditions. Turbulent Airflow Steep Turns Low Rotor RPM High Airspeed High Gross Weight Note the last one, High gross weight. I have noticed that people flying the hind just absolutely love to fully load their helis.
  10. Interesting fact, back in 2016 I did this with A-10a and somehow A-10c appeared on my account for free.
  11. The Mi-24P rotor seems to be indestructible. (Video Attached) I don't think a track is required. Can be easily reproduced. You can actually take off again after you ditch your rotors a few meters under the ground.
  12. If not the release of the hind then some info about its state and new potential release date should be known tomorrow.
  13. Yes.
  14. "They won't release the module" - That was a sarcasm, they won't bother reading this topic. Here is a reality check for you, Petrovich will not be able to perform 20+ functions at the start. It has been stated over a hundred times already. Only the main and essential functions like target spotting and ATGM guidance will be implemented, plus some more stuff on top. Around a month ago I have raised a topic called "Facing the reality" - which was meant to discuss current ground limitations and how MI-24P will struggle to fully adapt to dcs due to it. No one is being "positive or shut up" here. I will be honest with you. It seems to me like you are just trying to create a big drama over here out of nowhere. You have been told that main Petro functions will be present on initial release and extra stuff will come later. What the hell on earth do you want more? Are you expecting Petro to solve world hunger or Navier-Stokes equations?
  15. Kiowa Warrior left seat instructor deep-dive.
  16. Mi-24P development teams are going to have a meeting this Monday for go/nogo to release the product on the 16th. This topic may as well give them a reason for nogo with all your "concerns". It is already confirmed that "Petrovich" will have the needed functionality for a successful initial rollout. In the MI-24P the front gunner is there mainly for ATGM guidance and target spotting. Petrovich will be able to aim the ATGMs and will be able to spot the targets on the module released, what else do you need? Wags has informed the community that the next video will be about the ATGMs and Petrovich. Extra stuff for Petro like manual map navigation and so on will come later during the EA.

Uh, a year later somobody found my post in the trash can. Interesting.
  18. Mi-24P Release date on steam has been updated to 16th of June. (Wednesday)
  19. Bignewy just updated the expectd OB release date to 27th of May which is TODAY, as well as Steam store indicates that the expected release is on the 31st of May. So maaaybe, just maaaybe we will get it today?
  20. Tried looking up what RAID is and didn't find a thing.
  21. I am new to this tread because I haven't had any issues. looked throught some posts and it seems as people that are getting the crash do have a mediocre GPUs like the AMD RX560. I have RTX3090 and I am completely crash free. What GPU are you using?
  22. Since 2.7 rolled out I experienced 0 crash. I am an Nvidia user. Win 10 as well.
  23. Hi everyone, the new anti-tank ATGM vehicle Memphisto is br0ken. It will pop the eye at the start of the game, but further won't engage or do anything whatsoever. Basically, it is not engaging targets. memph.trk Attached a quick track, (Track is speed up). I checked and Memphs did not engage any targets with normal speed as well.
  24. Mig-17F Presentation from Red Star Simulation. Mig-17F is expected to be available for consumers in 2022.
  25. Interesting fact, one thing the Soviets did back in the Cold War is designed a lot of vehicles to work with NATO standard munition and equipment, but not backwards. This as well affects the Mi-24 line. The YakB-12.7 mm on Mi-24V was able to use NATO .50 Cal ammo in it. As well the standard 28V, 2 pin Ground Power Unit used in the US during the cold war fit perfectly well into the Mi-24 GPU port, but GPUs built by Soviets did not fit the US fast movers and helis.
