So in the spirit of all things daft and currently being driven near insane going into my third month of shielding at home having not left the house or garden in that time....here goes! I am assured this is an accurate representation of how red used to train their aspiring SU-33 pilots though i may not have a reliable source. If you think you can do better please share your experience and if you have any requests as to what i land on it next then please ask away :pilotfly::pilotfly::pilotfly:

Any chance ED could make a fairly small representation of the mach loop area in wales? Even as a small map at a smaller price tag, just for novelty's sake. I think, having flown the channel map a bit now, that they could make it really well and it would be awesome to take the hoard of DCS aircraft through the area :) Say...2 months to complete ED? yeah?

You know, at first i read through the thread and thought "here we flippin go, someone's miffed AGAIN..." but on reading through i can't agree more with your criticisms. Their are flaws which i would say are passable and some like the ones above which are just fglaringly inaccurate. I really hope that ED see these reports and action them sooner rather than later because the map is beautiful it would be a shame for it to lose stars based on factual accuracy i guess.

Has anybody made any missions featuring the WASUP-ercarrier in the CHANEL? Asking for a friend...:music_whistling:

Like i say, the hornet's fps has dropped recently, probably due to adding AG radar as i have experienced this with the Jeff. The jeff used to lag terribly if you land without silencing the radar because of the AG component. They will sort it all out in time. On the other hand, i flew the spitfire furball vs doras last night and it was TREMENDOUS. And high enough up that FPS was fine

It's easier to post pics elsewhere than to this forum to be fair to them

[AKNOWLEDGED]Cars of England drive on the right side of the road
Bagpipe replied to Rudel_chw's topic in Bugs and Problems
They were off their heads back in them days, drove wherever they damn well pleased what what! Alot less potholes you see old chap -
I would say, having gone and bought the bloody thing anyway (after stating i would not due to low fps at present OB state), that the FPS is identical to the normandy map and infact better in places/situations and worse in others. It is strange as not all towns cause FPS to stall but some do. Strangely, i usually get worse FPS in the viper than the hornet but on this map it is inverted and my prop planes love it more than normandy map. Bizarre but really beautiful.

Thrustmaster Warthog is no longer working in DCS
Bagpipe replied to bobdude11's topic in General Bugs
Try going to your windows user/saved games/dcs world... folder and rename the whole folder "OLD...dcs blah blah" then run a repair and let DCS create a new saved games folder for you. This will reset ALL binding and settings etc but has worked for me in the past with bizarre issues related to controls and trackIR etc. Hope this helps, maybe? -
"Added flame out conditions due to air flow issues caused by deep stall and or tail slide" Feelin like Fonzie right about now! Ayyyyy Thanks Razbam

Just installed NVidia studio drivers instead of game ready and i believe they are performing better. Colours render slightly differently too by the looks. possibly 20-30% better in my case

SSAA performance is dismal since 2.5.6, at one point i could get solid enough 80 fps with settings on max. Now i cant turn SSAA on at all even with MSAA off completely without stuttering at 20 fps. Haven't complained until now but apparently it is stable so i guess i can now reasonably complain a bit. I will be launching my dummy and rattle off the Supercarrier if it is not resolved urgently ED :P

Hi Folks, I am on OB but if you are experiencing FPS issues this mod may help temporarily. Not sure if it passes IC, you would have to check. It is unofficial so ED are not responsible. Best to back up your original files but repair will reinstate them if you wish to revert back to standard at any point. The mod just renders distance shadows and ground shadows differently i believe and helps alot at low levels. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=268560

[RESOLVED]DCS Crash when CPU does not support SSE 4.1 or greater.
Bagpipe replied to TempRyan's topic in Game Crash
I have an Ryzen 3700x and i am getting frequent crashes from multiplayer. Tried several servers last night and all crashed at some point Submitted a crash report -
Was just checking out the viper again on nevada free fly. I loaded Mk82 and HEAT rockets (M5) and while my bombs were killing the tanks (although still with no real area damage effect :( ) the rockets were exploding on the tanks and not even leaving an impact mark or anything on the ground. I got fed up so fired a good old salvo at one tank and it did no damage at all.

My bad, it's on there facebook newsletter  https://www.facebook.com/notes/dcs-world-by-eagle-dynamics/final-hours/10163800294060341/ I assume it is just the AI version and nothing to get hyped about lol

Really great to hear they will be updated as just downloaded and they look very professionally done but then stop at trigger scenes! Looking forward to the update :)

Really fun, totally trash at proper case I recovery never mind II and III. Have been away from the carriers for too long trying other modules out. :(

But if that were the case then they would not offer the support tickets as pointed out to me earlier. These guys are already working on the payroll, i believe my idea would enable them to work smarter but that is for ED to decide. I see the point made above by ngreenaway and it's are not wrong but unfortunately the line is too thin as to what is deemed acceptable conduct and what is not therefor more often than not people are free to dish out quite personal ridicule and more often than not it is noobs that get it. I have never heard of support tickets until now but i sure as hell had heard grumblings about the DCS forums before now and that should really change. Keep the attitude for Hoggit threads and other harder to reach places i guess.

Not always true unfortunately mate. Often the information is hard to get at. Very often things get personal and out of order very fast and i don't think it would be a hard thing for ED to manipulate the forum away from. Maybe temporary banning is an option? I wouldn't like that but if it is easier and gets a point across then... yeah? Not everybody has the same skill, knowledge or IQ level unfortunately. Some are challenged with additional support needs and some do not speak english natively so do not come across as intended......etc I guess i am just banging my head against the wall of humanity now though huh  Comments as above about condoning online bullying to keep simpler minds out is just not on and solidifies my point that systems need put in place/managed more efficiently. Ramble ramble ramble....

The Hornet is much further along in it's devlopment and has radar, amraam and serveral other wapons. Some are still being developed but are less common and may take some time due to requiring other systems developed like full AG radar integration. Have a read through the mini updates for viper, hornet etc. in each modules respective forum section and you will see what i mean. Take care and don't step in the dog s***
