Thats just an assumption for now. Basically after the flanker and eagle announcement, only the mig 29, Su33 are the ones which lack AFM/updates. Perhaps they may be seperately released as full mid fidelity modules. I atleast hope so.

I totally agree..the warthog is sexy enough that I like to look at it and touch and feel the stick while I walk by my gaming area even when I am not playing it. I hope thrustmaster don't wait another 10y before they make another hotas/controller like this.

Its due to legal obligations to ubisoft. Blame them. This is the best ED can do without getting sued. Go to ebay and try finding a copy of lock on. FC may be an expansion pack per se, but compared to most modern run of the mill games, there are enough features in it to be a full numbered sequel. Don't complain why they are charging so much.... try to find any other dedicated full time military flight simulation developers. There is only one serious tank sim dev and each copy costs over 100$.

I get that other devices work...maybe the device driver is messed up, that's why try a different PC. Buy hey..since its amazon...go for it.

Just an update on this issue if anyone has a similar problem... The flickering buttons came back with a vengeance. http://youtu.be/dDkw5CcvYoo Anyways... contacted thrustmaster, sent in my throttle to montreal centre. it cost around 22$ + box + tape. (ridiculous that canada post don't let you use their shipping tape anymore). A week later, yesterday, got back my throttle. All looks well and the issue is gone. My china hat and boat switch work fine now.

Hey Bmon...don't worry...I actually just had an issue with my warthog too. Back when I got it last year, I posted about flickering buttons on my throttle. BEFORE ANYTHING...try using a different computer. Or use a friend's PC and see if the stick detects and you can see it in windows devices and printers or whatever. Then install the thrustmaster drivers and download target and see if it sees it. Then you will know if its a software problem with your PC....so a re-format may be in order...maybe....or a hardware issue on your mboard? maybe. anyways...this was my experience with a defective warthog unit. http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=96221 I went to http://ts.thrustmaster.com/eng/index.php and registered and emailed tm about my problem. Within a couple of days they responded..I made the youtube video of my issue and they responded saying it may be pinched wires and sent me a pdf of how to open the throttle and check for pinched wires. I thought I fixed it...I clearly didn't do anything but moved the cables and it was enough to rectify the flickering inputs...but that returned last month. I was annoyed as expected for such a quality product to have these little build issues (seems like its a hand built device). But anyways...here was an updated video. They suggested that they can either send me replacement parts if I can troubleshoot, but I elected to let them do it properly and sent the throttle to them. I just got it back yesterday and as of now, the issue seems to be rectified. I even called them a couple of times to their canada hotline as I am from ontario. It still goes to france. But the throttle was shipped to montreal. So shipping won't be too bad. also they will reimburse for shipping if its a manufacturing defect. Overall, thrustmaster support is very good and I had a great experience with them. I am confident in their support and have faith that any workmanship issues with their products will be taken care of. So, in your case, first double check if its a PC related issue. Then return and get a new one from amazon...or even best buy. I got mine from bestbuy.

I think that little border padding is a bit un-necessary and it looks too clumped in a small place. Seperate it out and it will work nicely. I think a mix of the current mission/campaign selection screens with this would be awesome. But glad ot hear about the work on AFM for the flanker and eagle. Can't wait to check that out. BTW...what about EDGE? Any updates? :p

Hey guys, Here are some tiles for the windows 8 start screen. The current DCS icons look boring. There is a wide selection to choose. I prefer the pilot walking...but if only I could get a psd without the shark, I could vary it up with other jets. Hey guys, I think its nice to collect and document some "GOOD" videos for the enhancements in EDGE. Especially this one looks amazing...its a great video showing vapor trails. Watch it in 720p. Might be some good reference for animators to try and design those. Notice the rate of dispersion...the pattern... the opacity etc.

play around with gamma settings on your monitor... it looks fine for me.

BTW....module manager now still shows "INSTALL" button for already installed modules..is it a bug? or needs more WIP to clean it up?

Isn't heat blur always seen on jet aircraft IRL? I mean even without AB...I have seen a big sized heat blur in many vids and pictures.

I think it doesn't work for 64 bit exe. I remember back in the day when I got A-10C on steam, the overlay didn't work....and the cause was lack of support for 64 bit game files. Did steam update to allow overlay in 64 bit games?

Be careful though....u may be hit with duty and stupid UPS brokerage charges. I have been burnt time and time again by ordering stuff from other countries. But no worries with warranty. My warthog throttle is with thrustmaster right now... they only ask for a copy of the invoice/proof of purchase and the serial number.

Yeah! If ED could hire the outerra developer and join forces...damn!! next generation simulator indeed. That would be a true DCS World 2.0

Check out the lighting engine of outerra. Damn!! Looks awesome. BTW...Wishlist for EDGE, ED please find out how outerra did trees and low altitude clutter...i.e., grass, stones, rocks, cliffs etc.... it looks photoreal. :) w_B0TFE3zIQ
