But why would he bother hiding that one aircraft when he gave away that so many other aircraft in the pipeline. IMO... F-16 is probably not in the pipeline. I would think F-18 is the next in line (Based on Wags background in the Janes series) or F-15C (based on the cockpit model n FC3). I would think Su27SM is further distant as ED already announced way back that the next aircraft is a US fixed wing. But hey...it would be awesome if ED came out with a DCS: Fighter operations with the crane and eagle at the same time. :p But logically it makes sense for someone to make F-16. The falcon 4 crowd is a nice market to entice (I wouldn't imagine its big, but it will definitely grab attention of all the diehard ones). ED can do themselves a favor by bringing in those enthusiasts as well.

How come the A-10A and A-10C HUD assembly do not have a combiner/glass in front? But looks freaking amazing. BTw...noticed the PAC switch on side.....can we now use PAC (stage 1 and 2 trigger) in A-10A??

FC3 is still in beta and things are changing very rapidly... more than often for the better. Personally, in my case, making skins is on hold until the new models are released with their templates.

Thanks for the explanation. I wonder if ED will add this to the final build of the cockpit. Even if they don't, it doesn't matter, the cockpit is already looking gorgeous. If I can suggest something, the gauges texture needs to be a bit more clear and less reflective. ;) But....I realize its WIP. :D

Anyone know what that BLOCK...rectangle in front of that PIPE is? I see it in some aircraft and not in others. This one below...doesn't have it.

I am just personally looking forward for the new cockpits. :p haha! But I guess game breaking bugs take the priority. But since artists wouldn't be messing with code...unless they are part of testers, hopefully...all this delay would mean us getting atleast one or two of those 3 new 6dof cockpits in next update? :p

Nope. No way afaik without Ed implementing it themselves.

Personally, I think its because the A-10A cockpit was developed earlier a bit during the DCS A-10 stage and the Su 25 cockpit may be the one in development by Onepride. I am not complaining, but it makes sense. As ED said, developing a cockpit from scratch takes a lot of time and since we haven't seen any indications of a Su25T or Mig 29 cockpit, these ones are may be not mentioned. Although, maybe I am wrong and these have been developed in house by ED and their reasons are their own. As mentioned earlier, there were signs of Su27 upgrade some years ago, but it never got realized. Perhaps the cockpit is a one done from scratch to match the F-15 from USA.

If DCS A-10C is an indication, most of our simple key commands may involve multiple buttons/navigation through MFD displays etc...so it may be hard to find those out. But few, I am sure are single buttons/levers like gear up/down etc.

Yup! Been using it since Win8 released officially. Works perfect since 1.2.1.

I noticed that for some random reason, DCS assigns key commands and axis from the stick to the throttle and vice versa. The old flip...or just random erratic re assignments which made me annoyed and having re do all my flight profiles again. What I found best is to use the exact same USB ports for the approporate controller and so far the craziness doesn't happen.

The frog is a fantastic bird. True brute force and raw speed. I am glad to see it being improved. I think ppl are right...the reason we are getting those two 6dof xoxkpits are probably necks of the half done cockpit for a10a and oneprides su25, but I maybe wrong and perhaps Ed made it themselves. Eitherway, hopefully before they close fc3 support, they should update the su33 and mig29 and that will be a fantastic swansong to send off the lock on series.

I think it's fair and a very good idea for Ed to consider making their own payware content for the mods section on DCS website. Rise of flight, world of tanks and other markets have shown the power of micro transactions. With DCS world, ED has taken the first step. So ED decide to upgrade and release each 6dof cockpit for 10$, they can still keep the existing 2d pits as default and separately overwrite that content when a user buys and installs a cockpit from a main cockpit lua file/call procedure. I think it's a nice idea and it can be a good marketing experiment for ED.

The rise of flight graphics engine looks amazing. The trees and landscape looks amazing.

Personal suggestion: Get it from a reliable place. You never know what you might get...worst case, u could loose all the money, second worst: U get a defective unit and u might have to spend all u save to send unit back to france (IIRC) to TM headquarters. Try doing a price check if that exists in your local bigger electronics chains. Thats what I did...found a cheaper price at a reliable CDN website and price checked it to best buy when they used to stock the warthog.

seriously! If ED make an FC3 addon at 10$ for the Su33 and cockpit, they can take my money right now.
