Probe Heat & Test Switch
skywalker22 replied to skywalker22's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Switch works fine, just the left-right mouse clicks are not working the way as 3 positional switch works on DCS's F-16 (right click to move swich only forward, and left click to move the switch only backward). -
missing evidence for ofp 4.2 Strafe Selectable by HOTAS
skywalker22 replied to afbl's topic in Wish List
"AFAIK, HOTAS for Strafe (STRF) is a OFP M5.1+ update, which this versions of the USAF F-16C block 50 would not get until 2010 or later. Our DCS versions is a USAF 2007 version roughly M4.2+." -
Not sure if this is a bug or it is designed that way, but since it's a 3-position switch, I would assume, the right mouse clicks moves switch always forward, while left mouse clicks should move switch always backward. Now it is not wokring like a usual 3 or more positional switch. Now when switch is forward (on ON position), left click moves the switch to OFF, you can hear that double movement of the switch ("click-click"), but it moves just by one position. If you press right mouse click you can only hear one "click", but I would assume, right mouse click should do nothing more , but to stay there, when in ON position.

If I would, and would have been shot at, I wouldn't be seating here now Seriously, ED is aware of that, and has that in mind for a very long time, its just not on their priority list atm, and I agree, there are way more serious and necessary things to fix.

@NineLine since there is quite some portion of Pakistan included into the full map, will there be any airports included from Pakistan as well? Or maybe any airports from the northern countries?
-
Yee, indeed. 1st map with no water, at least not salt one.
-
I would say the same as Syria or SA, so around 70-80GB. The whole fully detailed version I mean. I am really looking forward to this map, looks stunning, and very versatile.

reported Difficulty upgrading Track Targets to System Targets
skywalker22 replied to Willie Nelson's topic in Bugs and Problems
Amazing, thx for the clarification. So I am asking @NineLine if he can open up this closed thread, so we can continue on with a constructive conversation: There are quite some evidences gathered, and some still might be added. -
I switched to DLAA yesterday, which causes some shimmering on moving objects (at the back of them), but its not that bad as in DLSS. I tired only on monitor, have to test it in VR today as well, specially regarding performance, in comparision to MSAA.

reported Difficulty upgrading Track Targets to System Targets
skywalker22 replied to Willie Nelson's topic in Bugs and Problems
I would like to know just one thing, is there or is there not a real correlation between datalink contact and FCR contact, regarding its location (X,Y,Z) so FCR know exactly about which contact is getting the info from Datalink? If not, then ED is right, if yes, then I don't see any reason why FCR would create its only picture of contacts and therefore firing solutions (appropriate color desigantion of System and Bugged targets). -

Another thread which will be closed. I can do a track tomorrow, but if someone is willing to do a decent example, please go ahead. -

By ED's standards unfortunately is does. We tried numerous of times to tell them that, but so far with no luck -
Did TACAN and ILS landing.....so much FUN.....works great.

Amazing. Now try to air refueling, you will change your mind -
MSAA is the way to go atm.

The best thing to eliminate ghosting is not to use DLSS at all.

I don't get it why even releasing the map on the half way. Personally I would wait to when the whole map is complete and then go with EA (and after release do some bug fixing and upgrading things; same way as Razbam did with South Atlanitc map). I don't find any positivinty in releasing the map on 50%. It only confuses people, and brings us to discussons like that.

Having a hard time avoiding AIM-120s fired from F-15
skywalker22 replied to Hoggorm's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Can I ask the devs here ( @BIGNEWY maybe), is there in plan to do the missing HPRF mode (Husky) for the AIM-120C-5 missile? So far we only have MPRF mode (pitbull). -

skywalker22 replied to Hoggorm's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Yes. I was shot down on Modern Buddy Spike server a month ago with an AMRAAM shot from F-15E which was at the time of firing at Angels 45, speed of 1.2 Mach and 52nm away from me. I also recorded it, since it was my "record" of being shot down from the furtherst distance. I got a missile warning cca 8-10nm before, but I was pushing my luck a bit too much, didn't think the missile can reach me. But it did. The missile still hit me with a speed about 1.5 to 1.6 Mach, which means there was still some distance to cover. -
I use TheWay app, into which I upload steerpoints from the F10 map. Its not cheating, since you have a map also IRL. From the app the you just click Transfer to DCS and steerpoints get populated (I usually set to steerpoint No. 699, so it then starts with 1). If you decide to use this app, I would recommend you to use V2.3.1 (no higher), since there are some bugs which needs to be resolved.

4080super vs 4090 vs 7900XTX
skywalker22 replied to Madman3353's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have 4090 and Quest PRO, but becasue the DCS's not-so-good optimization, compromises are still required. I doubt there is much of a difference in comparision to 4080 (any type).
