  1. Seems enticing, though I don't have any base stations and only have WMR controllers, so it seems I have to wait for the full kit and then decide if I want to spend that much. I do like the headphones on the Reverb G2 where they don't touch your ears. I wish the Vive had that style. Edit - hmm... can someone confirm that I can buy Index base stations and just this Vive Pro 2 headset? Edit 2 - and how do you apply the discount code to the pre-order?
  2. Look under Axis in the drop-down in the key assignments and make sure no other device also is mapped to the same function.
  3. Are you in VR? Get a bass shaker and attach to the underside of your chair. Then turn the amp all the way up so that the vibrations shake you at the same frequency as the clouds so that you don't notice it.
  4. *buys early access product *complains that it is not complete
  5. It depends. The mission has to be designed that way.
  6. EVGA actually seems to have some reasonably-priced cards, as compared to some of the other third-party ones. Some of them are crazy overpriced compared to Founders Editions or MSRP.
  7. Is it not a full fidelity module now? I am familiar with the Huey and Hip but not really the Ka-50. But I hopped into it for a look and it looks pretty nice - my understanding is that it recently had a texture refresh. But they're updating it once again in the near future? It would be nice to have this attention paid to the F-86 and F-5 as well, but it seems to me that the existing Ka-50 already looks pretty good inside. But again, I'm not intimately familiar with the functionality.
  8. This suggestion is not a waiting list, but have you tried the Newegg Shuffle? Every day at about 1pm Eastern US, they have some items that you can enter for a chance to buy. It usually ends at 3pm, then they email you that night if you were selected or not. Sometimes the deals are crappy though, since they're often bundled with other items like PSUs or motherboards. I've tried the last few, but no luck for me so far. EVGA has a queue system that you can enter if you create an account on their website, but I wouldn't count on that being a guarantee for a card in anything resembling the near future. It's pretty well known by now. You've got to get in pretty early for that to work.
  9. Maybe he saw your hand move to the volume dial and got the hint.
  10. I've noticed that too, which is really strange because in other WW2 campaigns where you are not the lead, it is often difficult to keep up with the AI as they climb Strange things with the AI, which is a shame. Nothing on Reflected, who makes really really great campaign content (and I really mean that). In this Horrido campaign I see entire bomber formations porpoise up and down like a school of fish. Maybe it's worse now in 2.7 for some reason?
  11. You are right, it may have been an optical illusion being that I was in Japan at the time. I also noted to someone that they were driving on the left side of the road, but it turns out that too is an illusion because it's in the opposite hemisphere and the Earth is rotating in the opposite direction, so really it's the same side. But it was a while ago that I came stateside so maybe they updated the poly count of the real C-17s and painted with a higher resolution since then, but DCS devs simply haven't kept up.
  12. The screenshot you posted above is the Air Force version, and as I said I lived in Misawa and have seen them. The AF Globemaster in particular uses very low resolution paint for aerodynamic purposes, which is why they look that way. I'm not sure about the Navy ones.
  13. I think maybe it was in reference to a possible lower mesh resolution needed since it's mostly flat, and the performance doesn't reflect that. Just my guess
  14. If you were actually in the Air Force you would know about cost-cutting measures. A higher polygon count was supposed to be implemented as part of the Block 21 upgrades but that part was cut by Congress at the last minute.
  15. Have you seen a C-17 in real life? The actual Globemaster is simply not a high polygon aircraft. I used to live on Misawa AFB in Japan and these came through occasionally. It looks like that in person.
  16. I used to live in Misawa AB, Japan, back before they changed the tail code to WW. It was MJ then, before 1996. I couldn't find any in the Skins section of User Files.
  17. I'm not very familiar with the ka-50 but in the A-10 I never had issues setting an orbit with autopilot to perform operations in the cockpit. You can also set a repeater in one of the MFDs to keep an eye on your flight parameters.
  18. Yeah, no videos on youtube either. I'm also wondering
  19. Are you using a plane that has clickable cockpit? If so, why do you need the keyboard at all? I think I only use the keyboard to hit "Esc" when I'm done. Edit- and sometimes Spacebar when asked for in a campaign. But that's easy to find.
  20. If you are in version 2.7, and if you see clouds, those are the new ones
  21. Type: says F-22A. That's a stealth fighter, so of course you aren't going to see it.
  22. I don't touch them for dcs. But get them so that you can play Half Life Alyx
