That's complete nonsense. CCRP was there before smart weapons were invented. - How would they attack targets when there are air defense around a target and can't get below a certain altitude? - How would they bomb a target when there is cloud cover at the target area? - How would they loft bombs into a target area without CCRP? These are all circumstances in which CCIP is useless and you can make use of CCRP, specially if you'd have a working grond radar

Yes you can mount TER's on stations 4 and 6..... but i have never loaded them in that configuration. Also, in combat sorties, F16's always carry 2 bags of fuel. I never heard of bombs hitting each other, but we had at least 1 aircraft who got struck by one of its own bombs, due to a failing component in a bomb rack.

I know how those fuses work it's been my work for years ( F16 weapons specialist) The fuse which should be installed in those bombs are the M904 nose fuses. They indeed need some time to arm, due to the rotation speed needed for the governor, inside the fuse. A spinning vane in front of the fuse is responsible for this rotation speed. If for what reason the speed is not met, than the fuse won't arm and the bomb won't explode

could it be that the bombs collide mid-air and explode?

reported MFDs are difficult to read in mid day conditions.
Falconeer replied to Rhayvn's topic in Bugs and Problems
I find them difficult to read aswell. Im not on VR, but i am using a dual screen to render the MFD's on the other screen. Both are identical 27" AOC screens with exactly the same color settings and still the screen i run the MFD's on are far darker than the cockpit itself (which is also to dark, compared to RL) Even when brightness set to full, its hard to make out. In RL, the MFD's are far better to read than what we have in DCS. -
a lot of those things (except PPT's) can be programmed in the JF17 aswell. It also uses a DTC and after making those points on the map, you can use the radio menu to ask the ground crew to update the DTC after you ejected it from the DTU. Then you need to reinstall the DTC after the update and reload the new information.

I'm not trying to make an argument, not at all. Hence my first post in this topic was to complement your post towards OP And i'm not making assumptions, i have acces to the books myself. Besides, i have loaded the missiles myself for a couple of years, so i know for a fact they DO work
-
yes, its possible. Even for the "old" AIM-9 launchers, also known as 16S210 series missile launcher Only exception is the AIM-9X which requires the LAU-129 launcher

CCRP alows for higher (level) altitude drops, which is generally safer if there are MANPADS and AAA around the target area CCIP delivery is the most accurate method of delivering unguided munitions, but in order to be precise, you need to be in a shallow dive, thus putting you in harms way

Or you can manually input coordinates to create your own steerpoint or designate a target with your TGP Works fine for me in both SP and MP

Just a friendly reminder (a friend of mine made the same mistake) The set itself contains frames with push buttons only. It's not an actual screen with pushbuttons around it, but yeah it does work with DCS edit: You can see it more clearly here: https://www.sicomputers.nl/thrustmaster-mfd-cougar-pack-joystick-pc-zwart-id-458388.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjw6-SDBhCMARIsAGbI7Uhdm3TwC5Ji-Su4GAzkiBCH3yyuAER642c4JZgtsWudQ18qklx8DfEaAsV9EALw_wcB

in progress So, no flight model update for the F-16 in the 2.7 patch?
Falconeer replied to SCPanda's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
It doesn't state it anywhere... Steam and DCS Webshop: "Few other aircraft can match its versatility, maneuverability, firepower, and huge production numbers." However, it's still a work in progress and this is the part people seem to forget all the time. -

Simple solution... don't buy early access than -
The interface between missile and launcher is exactly the same for all aim9 missiles.

If you want an easy life, find an easier game and not a full fidelity flight simulator

With all due respect.... The F16 is one of the easier planes to start. It's a matter of a few mouse clicks.... that's it. When clicking a handful of buttons is too much work, then I don't understand why people are in a cockpit in first place...

not accurate for version Pylons that support mws
Falconeer replied to IkarusC42B Pilot's topic in Wish List
Aarhus, Denmark and Washington, D.C., 17 January 2020–The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA,) has recently awarded a contract of an estimated value of EUR 74 Million (84M USD) to Terma Denmark, for its customer U.S.N.G and the F-16 System Program Office (SPO). -

Falconeer replied to IkarusC42B Pilot's topic in Wish List
There is a Danish company called Terma, which builds/modifies pylons. I think only the European Vipers fly with those pylons and those are very different than US Block 50 we have in DCS. It's an 80's development, but general use is from the last years as well Like mentioned in other threads, just because they are all F-16's doesn't mean you can just bolt stuff on it and expect it to work -
It won't disengage by itself, but ircc you should disable it at around 60kts during takeoff
-
Which means it was used for the first time in combat. It was able to be deployed from certain aircraft before that date. (not specific F-16) You don't go into battle without certification or test phase, just to see how things work out. It doesn't work that way with aircraft, civil or military So, technically it *could* be possible, but it's depended from what software was in use by that time
-
That's a BRU rack. A TER rack it not wired for those munitions. TER-9A and BRU are the type of bomb racks, not the bomb itself, which in this case is a GBU-38 or GBU-54 if it has both laser and GPS guidance
-
the first F-16A had much smaller horizontals than later versions

It's a Strike aircraft, designed to attack ground targets. Unlike the F111 Aardvark, which was designed to be a fleet defender About the F designation: "USAF fighter pilots required to fly the new aircraft were more easily attracted to an aircraft with an "F" designation for fighter, as opposed to a bomber ("B") or attack ("A") designation"
