  1. This is so true... and so hard to learn... Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk
  2. Sublime, are you familiar with cranking, f-pole, a-pole, etc...? I've been killed by sd10 too many tines too know that inside 20nn, its a monster, more if you are at 30k. I usually play at blueflag, 104th, ddcs server, so its against good players, that is true. If you want to get 25mn/30 mn shots i recommend the following rules of thumb 1-Use tws and keep the lock as much a you can 2-be over mach 1 3-loft the shot 4-crank, turn towards the target to loft a shot and crank again, better if you go descending cause you will get a amraam in the air probably 5-dont go in straight line at 30/40k for 40 mn cause you are screaming: i want to shoot you down, the most effective shots are those where your enemy thinks you are attacking another plane or going elsewhere, just to receive an rwr warning with 4 sec defensive time. 6- if you bandit is very high(more than 30k), you can shot way over the rmax and still get him, i've witnessed 40mn kills just because the range seemed so big that the bandit did not expect a shot and once the warning is on, you are too high too defend effectively. 3. I doubt ED does what it does based on wanting casual player to be happy. I just see lack of time and resources for a more complex simulation of certain systems, period.
  4. I didnot know they simulated that in the m2000C and mig21, but i like how it sounds. I would love to have that in other aircrafts as well.
  5. The only thing to fix here as I see are planes on the ground that has not been "cold started" yet. So everything is turned off, hence no heat signature difference from the ground. Bear in mind that this not applies to an aircraft you have just turned off, since your engines and other system will take significant time to get completely cold.
  6. Yes, I kind of agree with nickos86 here. I will say more, i hope they delay the EW modelling on those planes until they can implement something a bit more sophisticated that what we have now in other planes, in which the jammer basically does not add anything in the A2A arena, it will just reduce engagement range againts SAMs. I was under the impression that they were hiring sommeone for EW modelling. I hope that is still true.
  7. I would say that is a bug not fixed. TWS still is "partially" bugged. Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk
  8. Yes, its the way that is supposed to be. But a big disclaimer, I wouldn't bet any money that this ED simulating diferences between updates rates (STT > TWS 80 deg > TWS 20 2 bar), but instead it could be just a bug caused by recent changes. Last week TWS was not even updating the amraam and in the intent to fix it maybe there are still things wrong in the code. We will see.
  9. Take into account also that most MP servers I play at, deduct points in case of Team Kills. So you can have 10 ground units killed and have negative points cause you commited fraticide.
  10. I'm not sure, the improvement in guidance at least on my side means that the missile loose very little energy now doing +9g stupid corrections. Above angels 20, 20Mn are a high PK or at least its my experience. Also notching and chaffings effectiveness is reduced wich helps in MP. Although this past week i haven't played as much as i would love, so its maybe a placebo effect.
  11. Yes, totally true. People, myself included think of the OB as "THE GAME" instead of the test environment. And everybody in MP are on this version so its your only choice if you are a MP guy. This patch was bad, maybe something went wrong, but people should remember that this was an Open Beta patch.
  12. And you have worked in IT systems? -_o You think a game like DCS in its "OPEN BETA" branch should have High Availibility to avoid breaking working stuff? Becayse to me that is the very reason you have an OB branch, to fix that before going STABLE... Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk
  13. What about those manners kiddo?! :( Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk
  14. What? O_o. I mean upload a track and fill a bug report, for me its hitting nicely. Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk
  15. Its possible, i dont know. In any case, except for any game breaking bug, we should wait for a complete update of russian missile in the same manner of the amraam. Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk
  16. Good point. The JF17 is a great module but definetely the radar seems quite optimistic in those aspects. Also in detection range btw given the jf17 small nose and size in general. Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk
  17. Yep, please give us that option once and for all. Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk
  18. Conspiracies everywhere
  19. I think in general people exagerate about the current state of DCS missiles. Can they be better? Sure! Are they horrendous, no way! I also do think that the amraam is in a very good state right now. The same way the SD10 is in a very good state. I mean both are very dangerous missiles with nice real BVR range, and closer to what i'd expect from them and in line with every piece of documentation and pilot talk i've always read. The only missile that i do think needs love really soon is the R77, that thing is basically a close range weapon now.
  20. Since a couple of patches ago when they introduced a new lofting logic which increased dramatically amraam range, especially on high altitude, high speed shots. Supposedly the amraam will be completed with new AFM based on CFD and improved logic in June, after that the same work will be done iteratively in all missiles. I hope the r77 and r27 receive some love before 2020 ends so everybody is happier.
  21. I think that is a good approach indeed, all weapons managed by ED to standardize quality or at least a common ground, eg. What max range is, so even if its done wrong, it will be equally 'wrong' for all sides. I'm sorry for those who keep seeing ghosts and cospirancies in ED, buffing or nerfing weapons to sell more. Which every now and then get dismantle by facts, like the A10 gun being worse of what it actually is for many years because an engineer kept thinking that his data was right, only to be corrected recently. If conspiracies were true, i'm sure ED would have made the A10 gun a super weapon to sell more copies of 'blue' A10, beimg some years ago their only high fidelity module. All I can see in every iteration of DCS world is that ED is guided by evidence, even when sometimes they make mistakes caused by its stuborness or their decisions are not welcome by some fanboys who see their favourite aircrafts not excelling as they think they should. 22. From post numer 13 in this thread i understand that it was DEKA themselves who did this right?
  23. I guess he means a simplistic simulator geared towards helicopters. MAC will be all aircrafts. Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk
  24. i guess they will come once it is finished on June 3rd. I even expect some video from Mr.Wags explaining the new functionality.
  25. The FLIR is used a lot in A2A mode to identify unknown contacts from far away. You can even find some youtube clips of super hornet tracking with the flir what it appears to be UFOs.
