Got an email almost two weeks ago after my credit card being charged. The first deliveries should start by the end of July according to the email.

I was thinking about an option to allow us to know how many hours we spend in a multicrew environment. Something like this :
-
I don't use any trick, I just place them in the mission editor, give them the usual orders to move and engage and they follow the instructions. I am editing a mission for a few days using french armor and they always react as planned, I am running the stable release though, perhaps something happened to the mod with the lastest OB patch ?

Hi Ansirial, I'm back with some feature requests : The first one is related to the calendar ; do you think you could add an annual calendar to navigate more easely to previous months ? The second request is related to the possibility to add a multicrew option when creating an entry, perhaps an option to activate like the training option you added ? With more and more modules able to host two players I'd like to have another statistic in that regard. The third and last, is another option to an entry that allows us to indicate if the sortie has been flown by night. Again, I'd love to know how much time I spent in night ops. Thank you again for your work and dedication.
-
Thank you for your answer Ansirial. I don't want to bother you by changing manually my allegiance, I'll wait for the Aviation Légère de l'Armée de Terre to be added and then I will create a new character. Thanks again o7
-
Hello @Ansirial ! I might be wrong, but I can't find a way to edit the allegiance of my character. Is there any way to perform this action and if not, do you think you could add the option please ? I am currently in a program exchange for the next 6 months and I'd like to record it on my timeline. On the same note, do you think you could add the A.L.A.T (Aviation Légère de l'Armée de Terre) the French Army branch who flies the Gazelle ? Last question, with the more broadly available multicrew possibilities in DCS modules (Tomcat, Huey, Hind, Kiowa, etc. ...) will you add an option to mention wich role in the aircraft we flew our mission ? Thank you again for your hard work !

You don't know that, unless you're part of the dev team ? Wags said last week the team lacks informations about the FM and that they would rely on the feeling from Apache pilots to create a FM for the aircraft. I found the interview really interesting in that regards.
-
Then you should certainly avoid the upcoming AH-64 Apache from ED. I wonder how FM enthusiasts will react to its FM after what Wags shared last week on the Air Combat Sim podcast.

Realsimulator’s new HOTAS survey
tugais replied to Supmua's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The fact that RealSimulator is getting into the throttle business is truly a great news ! There is no doubt I will buy their solution once the Viper grip for the throttle will be available, if they would sell a Mirage 2000 grip it would be fantastic too but I guess there's not enough interest for one out there. Currently using Monstertech mounts. -
You're probably right, my bad !
-
If by complete set your mean the collective and the cyclic, I think you're too optimistic. Just look at their current range of products and prices. I don't see how they could sell a niche product - meaning, very small batches of hardware being made - for a lower price than a more popular stick and throttle combo. There are already specific controllers options for helos out there and you're near the $2.000 mark. There's a reason behind those prices, very limited quantity of products produced and sold. While I think Virpil will be able to offer a cheaper option, I can't imagine them giving away a cyclic and collective combo for $500. You better start ordering the components you'll need to make your cyclic and collective.

Thank you for the reply and recommendation, will do !

Ok, time to do some necro and revive this thread. I'm looking for F-4 liveries and this mega pack does not work anymore unfortunately. I tried to find some help from the User files section on the website but I can't find any F-4 liveries. Does anyone know if this project will be picked up at some point or if there are others F-4 liveries ?

Hi there ! The multicrew in the Gazelle is indeed a work in progress (I used to fly the Gazelle as the Chef de Bord for a few months without any major problems). The developers have shared a few times that they would come back to this functionality when Eagle Dynamics would offer a proper support of multicrew to their 3rd parties developers. The Huey just received its multicrew support, with the release of the Hind in the weeks to come, multicrew support will certainly get better and more reliable. I am confident that the Gazelle will receive its update after the Kiowa release. Polychop already planned to rewrite the flight model, I suppose they will get to the multicrew after that. With a little luck, we'll see the results within the next year ?

FRENCHPACK V4.9.1 Update on 27/04/2022
tugais replied to dimitriov's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
The FrenchPack is really something, for sure ! A shame the deal with ED could not be made, the overall quality of the pack clearly deserves to be included in the core game. C'est la vie ! -
Looking for a real work Gazelle pilot to interview
tugais replied to Crewmanplaysgames's topic in SA-342M Gazelle
Did you even watched the video ? It seems you did not. Please, take a deep breath, your life is not on the line here. We all know at this point how much effort you put into trashing this module. Thank you for the video posted by Erik Scott, I value the commitment, time and efforts put into the data gathered here. The fact is, several british helo pilots with real life experience find the Gazelle close enough to what they experienced, not a perfect representation, sure, but a close one. At least one that allow them to enjoy the module and should offer a glimpse of the capabilities of the aircraft for non RL helo pilots. At some point you will have to accept that people may have a different opinion than yours. It seems foolish, but I much rather put credit to real life Gaz pilots than an internet user on the DCS forums. Even real life pilots have a hard time to be on the same track regarding an aircraft they flew ; from my part I have absolutely no problem with different opinions from real life users. At the end, I will choose to fly a module I truly enjoy as long as it is backed up by knowledgable people, the Gazelle fits the bill. We all have to make some choices about DCS in regards of simulation/playability. If one truly seeks simulation at all levels, DCS is not the one either, electronic warfare is almost non existent, basic weather simulation is non existent, damage and failure management is very basic, ground target damage/destruction is very basic, etc. ... See, there's a lot to say about the state of the "simulation" in DCS, nevertheless we still enjoy it because we know we have to make concessions. -
Looking for a real work Gazelle pilot to interview
tugais replied to Crewmanplaysgames's topic in SA-342M Gazelle
And prepare yourself for a disappointment if you speak to Damcopter, he is extremely negative toward the Gazelle - at least that was the case last time he expressed his discontent on this forum. On the other hand, you can find a British Gazelle pilot who shared his opinion with Casmo and said the module is a decent representation of the real thing (not really sure if Damcopter is or was an active duty Gazelle pilot but he sure is/was in ALAT). If you want to hear from helo pilots and the feedback shared by an actual Gazelle pilot, you should watch this : -
VKB Gunfighter Base Standalone - When Available?
tugais replied to AeroGator's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
This is exactly what happened to me. I bought several VKB products since I went back to sim 3/4 years ago and intended to stick with the brand until I needed recently a new base for another grip. I thought that VKB was not selling bases anymore and had to go with Virpil. How was I supposed to know that I had to write an email to get a stand alone base ? That's conter-intuitive as it can be. What an odd practice for a business. -
Yep, several users on reddit already said that the original meaning was in fact missiles. and as Jojo said, ED had stated several times they intended to redo all the missiles behavior. I don't know what will happen with the 530D, but considering the Mirage is one of the older modules I'm not sure it will be one of the first to be revisited weaponry wise. We will see what and how ED handles the more prominent modules first, it will be a pretty good indication of what's to come for the Mirage.
-
That's strange, I'm not experiencing this. Do you choose the outcome of the flight before saving it to the logbook ?
-
This is, obviously, an excellent idea from ED. The "problem" from my point of view is the fact that the team is working on it and we have no timeline for this new technology. We know how slow they can be regarding major upgrades to their engine, it could be a few years away or a decade away ; we don't even know if the maps we actually have will be compatible with this new tech. Razbam is probably right about going for a single map right now. I'm not sure it's a viable choice to wait for this new tech in development.
-
@Vibora Would you consider making a sticky thread where the team alone can post updates please ? It would be much easier to follow your updates on the project. Thanks !

342M's TV at night only displays solid white; completely unuseable.
tugais replied to XCNuse's topic in Bugs and Problems
There has been some problems since the lighting update. I experience this problem too and the only way to "fix" it is to zoom on the landscape ; once the camera target a specific spot at close range, your TV will be able to display the IR sensor. At least this is how I handle the problem on my side.
