If you fellows have a favorite server and the use of a TeamSpeak Channel, I can walk you through baby-bum smooth landings pretty quickly I'm sure. Just let me know. Best was is to PM me and arrange a time (preferably EST if possible) for when we can hook up. I haven't flown in about a month now and even longer for the Mustang but it's like riding a bike. I'm confident we'll have you both landing like pros in no time.

It is important to know that in order to commence the repair countdown (using the Comms Key \ ), you MUST be completely shut down ... i.e. engine off and prop not turning. Also make sure your Canopy is Open so the ground crew can hear you !! You must also be on the Airport Grounds (or Farp as the case may be for helicopters etc).

You know what ? I don't even give a damn any more. It has been a while since I have been in any aircraft to remember the exact motions. But all I can say is IT WAS ALL BACKWARDS. Never mind anything else I have said here. I was not the only one noticing the problem. EVERYONE that was on the same server at the same time, during the same patch/build .. experienced the same thing. The direction we SHOULD Have had to make corrections was OPPOSITE that which it should have been. So I'm just telling you ... IT WAS ALL WRONG at the time and may well have already been corrected. I don't really care. Please everybody ... MOVE ON. Nothing going on here !

I'll just keep my fingers crossed .. while in the meantime, enjoying (and sometimes not !) the many modules I already own. But I'll be sure to buy the P-38 the instant it ever does become available.

Even if you don't win the Gazelle via this contest, you will still be a Winner if/when you purchase this module. It is an excellent little bird to fly. It has some (seemingly) strange characteristics, but once you get the hang of it, it's a pretty nimble little craft ... and deadly. I'm really happy with my purchase, especially now that the worst of the bugs and touch-ups have been corrected.

That's pretty funny. I was waiting for a big BANG and to see engine guts go flying. At least we now know the consequences of over-priming prior to startup !

Uh .. ya ... I know. The problem I was experiencing (which may or may not still exist ... I haven't flown the Mustang or much else Online since) is that the OPPOSITE Corrections were required. The wind coming from the right, causing weather-vaning the nose to the LEFT. Rather than pushing the rudder towards the oncoming direction, you would have to use the opposite rudder. Eg .. smoke blowing right to left SHOULD require Right Rudder to compensate. But for the longest time, we would have to use Left Rudder which made/makes no sense. But I like I said, I have no idea if it still exists because I haven't been flying (online or off) much lately. Stuff like that which started after an update (that presumably had nothing to do with wind direction but ultimately ended up affecting it anyway) made me have to take a break.

@imacken BTW - If you don't already have it, I recommend you download and install TeamSpeak (or your preference of Voiceware Software). TS is used on "most" multiplayer servers. It's much easier than typing, especially whilst flying. That Texting can Kill You !

Excellent. I must really suck because I have NEVER seen any points awarded for all that I have killed (which isn't much !). Obviously, I have to revert to the EASY level instead of Medium or whatever it is. Anyway, this is all good to know. Thanks again for your replies and helpful information BIGNEWY.

Okay thanks for that. I guess you have to first save the created fast mission to do that ? I'll figure that out quickly enough. No need to reply again regarding that. At least I know that's an option. The only remaining question I do have though is whether or not (after umpteen reloads ... IF that's even possible ..if I place farp vehicles at the start maybe ?) a mission can be completed ? Do you have to KILL EVERYTHING ? Do we get a message saying Mission Accomplished ? OR is this more of a practice shoot'em up sorta thing ?

I have rarely ever used the Create Fast Mission feature of DCS World (1.5) OB or any other version because it always seems to generic with way too many targets to decide what matters (or to ever be able to have Mission Success .. if there is such a thing in Fast Mission ?). Anyway, I tried it today in the Gazelle. I kept the parameters pretty simple and started on the tarmac at an airport. The problem is I had NO Hot3's nor any way to get them. The Ground Crew never responded to my requests ... and yes .. cockpit doors open, power on, radio on...etc etc .. not my first time !! So is this a Known Issue or a Gazelle Issue or what ? I did do a search but find the ED Forums very difficult to search for relevant information.

Hello PiedDroit That is (was) the problem. Every time I go into the Mod Manager that silly Check Box would show up asking to install or not. You can UN Check it as many times as you like but the next time you jump into DCS and open the Mod Manager, there the little devil will be .... just to tick me off !! Tech Support resolved the issue for me to day from their end. It appears this is the ONLY way to make it happen.

I absolutely agree. In the meantime, while the reply was in broken English (which I won't hold against ANYBODY), I do believe DCS/ED has already resolved my issue for me. Thanks to everyone who replied.

I did like Chump did and sent a Tech Support TICKET to DCS. Hopefully, they are able to eliminate the BS 2 UPGRADE Key for me. And here all this time I thought that purchasing the BS 2 FULL VERSION license was going to Eliminate all future issues !! WRONG Again !

Operation River Raiders - Pretty Please Any word about the release of the 4 above-mentioned, yet-to-be released missions ? I would love to chase after that scientist a few more times yet in Operation River Raiders.

I'll give it another once-over. I was thinking there was a prob with the mod because it wasn't in Zip format (came as RAR and extracted to several folders, none of which I knew what to do with really !!). Anyway Thanks for reminding me of that tutorial friend. I'm sure that will get me back on track.

I noticed the same thing AT LEAST for the original Ka-50 (which I think was wiped from history a couple years ago ... for good reason). But I'm pretty sure it worked for the Upgrade License. At least I did input the license and hit UnBind. I just haven't checked my mods list yet to see if the update installer is gone. I'll let you know soon.

That's exactly what I want. I just couldn't figure out how to use my mod manager to get it to work.

P-38 Lightning I know this is an old thread but I'd LOVE to see a DCS P-38 Lightning. It was an extremely important aircraft in it's design originality and aeronautical performance as well as being a prolific Fighter/Bomber. It saw combat in both Europe (originally) and the Pacific (ultimately) killing many-a-foe along the way !! Oh PLEASE someone produce a Clickable Cockpit P-38 Lightning for DCS World / Normandy.

Every time I go in to look at my purchased modules (and their license keys etc), DCS keeps asking me if I want to install DCS Ka-50 Upgrade. I originally purchased Ka-50 1 and then purchased the Upgrade to v2. Later I actually purchased the Full Version 2 of the same Module just to (hopefully) avoid issues with the 1st version and Upgrade version at a later date. So I really don't need those 2 versions. I only need, want and use the Full Version 2 of Ka-50. So I'd like to do something so DCS doesn't keep asking me if I want to install the Upgrade .. since I don't need it !! Please Help. I was unable to find any related posts. Thanks in Advance

Sorry Winston_60 I agree. I thought I was in the right forum ! oops my bad. But while I'm here, I couldn't figure out how to install that mod today (the whole texture pack) using OvGME. I don't want to install via overwriting DCS System stuff and I don't like that "other" mod manager. I just thought that we could make ANY terrain area snow-covered (in fact 4 seasons for all areas) ? I guess not. At least not if realistic data is considered. Speaking of Data ... I can't imagine why they would hold Winter Olympics in a place with no snow. I mean I couldn't even get the mountains covered ! Anyway, thanks. I guess I'll toss away yet another mission plot.
