Glad you got it sorted! Please post to the forums or email us at mapleflagmissions@gmail.com if you have any other issues or questions. Thanks.

Hopefully you are playing the practice missions first so you can perfect your tactics, techniques and procedures. It makes the campaign missions much easier once you have some experience defeating the bandits.

It could be a game engine bug but make sure your jettison switch is centered as I think any other setting renders the missiles inop.

Practice Missions Now Available!
Sabre-TLA replied to Sabre-TLA's topic in A-10C Basic Flight Training Qualification DLC
What was reason given for the termination? Looks like you missed a trigger zone somewhere on the flight path - make sure you hit all the waypoints to ensure the trigger zones are entered. -
BFT06 Instructor is drunk! Or am I?
Sabre-TLA replied to Nooch's topic in A-10C Basic Flight Training Qualification DLC
Compare your flight to this video. It's possible the game engine has changed since this video was recorded but the triggers and mission logic are the same. We are retesting the missions for the new Caucasus map so will make any adjustments needed. -
Unexplained CTD a10c advanced training mission 1 and 2
Sabre-TLA replied to ayousry's topic in Game Crash
Best to post your dcs.log file from your Saved Games folder to give the DEVs something to investigate. Try a DCS Repair as that might correct any corrupted files and remove any mods as sometimes they can impact the running program. Also update your video card drivers if they haven't been updated recently. Additionally check your system temps as there were alot of reported crashes due to CPU and GPU temps getting too high. Search the forums and you can see some of the examples. Without the logs to see it's difficult to know what the specific reason is for the crashes on your system. -
A-10C Tactical Training Qualification Campaign
Sabre-TLA replied to Sabre-TLA's topic in A-10C TTQ Campaign
Can you see from the mission log which unit is shooting at Chevy? Likely there is another air threat that you need to eliminate. Chevy will usually call out when attacked but you need to be on their freq to hear it. -
You can't use the CCRP to drop flares as they don't drop like a normal bomb. They don't have any weight so they tend to drop straight down. Try dropping them when you are right over the waypoint, ensure you press and hold the release button for a two second count and you should hear the pilot say "2 Away". Flares have to be dropped at a low altitude below 6500' as they burn out quickly. You can read more about Illumination Flares at this excellent 476th thread.

How good is this campaign considering the UFO AI FM/DM?
Sabre-TLA replied to Jamesp1's topic in F-5E Aggressors BFM Campaign
They are located on this path: <drive letter>:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\Mods\campaigns\F-5E BFM But recent game changes have caused issues for users being able to use the Missions menu to open them. You can copy them to your Saved Games folder or use the Mission Editor to open them. -

If it's BFT03 then after you reach WP 2 and hear the PO Start message and turn to 260 at 260 knots then after a short time you should hear the FE say: "We will be using Batumi for this PO. Contact the tower to get an approach vector." If you don't hear that, you can still contact the tower to get the approach vector and the mission should still play as intended. It's a large range trigger for that voice over but it is possible your heading is taking you north or south of the flight plan and the trigger is not firing for you to hear that instruction. Maybe we can just time the instruction after the PO Start message so missing the zone won't matter much. -

Sabre-TLA replied to Sabre-TLA's topic in A-10C Basic Flight Training Qualification DLC
Which mission is it and we will retest? Also was it the practice mission, campaign qual mission or both? -
Yes your technique should work. The F-5E is an older bird so older navigation techniques are needed including Dead Reckoning. You can use the kneeboard to plot your position and compare it to the flight plan. Once you have flown the route to the range a few times you won't even need to use the TACAN. Not sure about the dials freezing issue. You might want to post that in the F-5E Module Bugs section.

You can manually edit your logbook to skip the practice missions. This thread has instructions on how to do that. -
Practice Missions Now Available!
Sabre-TLA replied to Sabre-TLA's topic in A-10C Basic Flight Training Qualification DLC
Removing the folder and a DCS Repair worked for us but after the latest set of updates it appears even that fix doesn't work anymore. A quick way to get to the missions is using the Mission Editor. That still allows you to search the directories to open the missions. Alternatively you can go to the campaigns directory and copy the single player files either to your Saved Missions folder or the A-10 Single Missions folder. -

Sabre-TLA replied to Sabre-TLA's topic in A-10C Basic Flight Training Qualification DLC
If you are having trouble with the triggers do a DCS Repair and make sure you are running the latest video card drivers. Recon Stewart did a great job videoing all the missions so you can compare your experience . If you still have trouble it could be a bug due to a recent update so if it happens multiple times please report it to mapleflagmissions@gmail.com and we will try and reproduce it. You do have to fly the missions with precision as it is a qualification test so we tried to make it as challenging as possible (without making it impossible). -
Practice Missions Now Available!
Sabre-TLA replied to Sabre-TLA's topic in A-10C Basic Flight Training Qualification DLC
That's correct. Once you reach angels 7 at approximately 260 knots then you will get the instructions to start the Immelman and have 30 seconds to complete it. We just retested and it is possible to pass it however use a gradual pull on the stick when over 260 knots (more speed is better). If you pull back too hard then it will stall out and you won't be able to complete the half-loop. It does take some practice but with time you will get the right feel for it and can complete it within the 30 seconds given. -
Campaign Progression Bug in Missions AFT01 to AFT04

The bug fixes should have been included in the recent patches but please report if you encounter any problems. -

Sabre-TLA replied to Sabre-TLA's topic in A-10C Basic Flight Training Qualification DLC
For the aerobatic maneuvers speed is key so for the Immelman you can dive down somewhat to pick up sufficient speed then pull back hard on the stick and keep it pulled back until you are point in the opposite direction. The success triggers are keying off your heading and plane orientation. Having sufficient speed before you pull back should ensure a successful half-loop. -

Let DCS recreate your saved games folder (copy anything you want to keep first). There was a file in there that caused the Mission menu to have some issues. I can't recall the filename but once we did that it worked properly for us again. -
Fix has been developed and tested and submitted to ED for inclusion in the next 1.5 update. The downed pilot AI would still stop about half way to the end waypoint but we increased the LZ zone trigger to account for it so that seemed to work. We had forgotten how much fun it was playing these missions so thanks for reporting the issue - it was a blast retesting the fixes!
-
Yes it is triggered by altitude: UNITS ALTITUDE HIGHER THAN (Player, 750). For the TAC12 mission (though most are similar), you should hear: "COLT 1-1, COLT 1-2, YOUR PO STARTS NOW! PUSH TO THE TACTICAL TRAINING FREQUENCY!" Once you switch to 124.000 Mhz on the VHF AM radio (closest to the throttle) you should hear: "COLT 1-1, COLT 1-2. RADIO CHECK." and then 10 seconds later: "COLT 1-1, COLT 1-2, Let's review the Terminal Attack Control Procedure..." You should hear it shortly after takeoff as you head to WP 1. The dialogue continues until WP 2 where you do the G-Awareness test before Fence In at WP 3. Try removing any MODs if installed or disabling other programs that are running in case they are clobbering the mission memory and impacting the flags. Another thought is to re-download the campaign in case the files have become corrupted. I believe the DCS Repair should correct them but you already tried that so I'm not sure what else I can recommend.
-
We just retested missions 2 and 3 and they played fine in the current DCS World released version. Make sure you set your radio to 124.000 when instructed to after takeoff.
-
Have you tried a DCS Repair? I know some folks have had trouble with triggers firing properly but a DCS Repair and updating their video drivers has corrected the issue. I'll check the triggers but we haven't updated those missions since they were released so I'm not sure why the timings would be off.
