Here’s some info on the turbo boost it’s enabled by default maybe your somehow got disable. Also in your power settings maybe try to select High Performance mode then retest. Well then if it doesn’t have a K at the end i9-10900K or KF then maybe your right it can’t be overclocked. There’s a lot of different programs to overclock the cpu I not sure what’s the most popular one maybe this one for intel https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/docs/processors/core/performance-maximizer.html or this one https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/17881/intel-extreme-tuning-utility-intel-xtu.html maybe YouTube it there zillion of videos. I personally use my Alienware Command Center to overclock my cpu and use Msi afterburner “free program “ for my gpu.

Im running my i9-10900 @ 5.0ghz with no thermal issues never gets over 70c. And yes msaa x2.

One of my friends s tinkled pink with the OpenXR mod he really happy about it. I just don’t see why people are sooo caught up with FPS… it has nothing to do with VR imo. Frametime yes if your playing are studying the performance, other then that it’s about the smooth flow in VR. Fly the sim not the numbers. This OpenXR is making a lot of sense and I’m seeing more people doing it. I just don’t feel I need too many because I have a 3090 and what most are seeing and feeling in the performance boost. I’m already there. Has anybody tried this with a 3090 ? Is there that much difference ? Edited— but then again it’s a bypass SteamVR thing and not hardware.

Honestly I wish I never got into VR . Before I did I was playing on a 34” ultrawide 120hz monitor with a 3090 with TIR and man was it beautiful … so crisp like Wags videos. The clouds , clarity and texture are what makes this sim so superb with 2D. But once I got a G2 and did all the tweaking and start using it more it was all over. Every once in a while I will go back to 2d but the feeling of pulling G’s just ain’t there like it is in VR. I miss the full screen clarity the most and stutter free.

Love the Viper update ! Now the Apache seems really complicated especially that I have never was interested in helos. I can’t even get the Apache off the ground and have no idea what to bind on the Hotas. It’s beautiful tho but it’s gonna take a lot of time for me for sure. Totally respect the real Apache pilots and of course the jet guys. I just don’t know where to start with the Apache … maybe basic helo tutorials first. Soooo confused !

I’m not reading all the replies. But, I have absolutely no issues with the G2- SteamVR beta- WMR and dsc/vr performance what so ever.

Same here. It was the only way to upgrade to a 3090. This Alienware Aurora 11 runs DCS like a champ !

Win + Y on WMR screen. Then tab over to DCS screen. Try that.

Go with the G2 and if all possible up your Ram to at least 32gb. I can’t remember when the last time I used my trackerIR and 2D stuff. I think the top of my skull has a groove in it now.

Possible page file ? When 2.7 came on a lot of people had crash issues. I changed my page files to Min 32768 Max 32768. Never had a crash issues since then. It broke my heart when the Tomcat was crashing on the 2nd mission start up. Changing the pagefile helped and I was happy E D found that nasty crash bug in Tomcat.

Same here Lance_666, I stop doing that months ago. There’s gonna be micro stutters here and there not a big deal. If your rig is crashing it’s got to be your rig. There’s nothing wrong with DCS and VR not on my end for sure.

Sorry no problems on my end. Actually the new nvidia driver has been outstanding.
