  1. This. Well said.
  2. Hey Buzz. When the Tomcat is released you jump in the Hornet and I will gladly take you on with the F-14 in some BFM guns only? What do you say?
  3. True. Well said.
  4. I see what you mean about the axis. However ED have provided files with buttons and switches pre-programmed for the Hornet not only for the Warthog but for other brands of flight sticks etc. This all comes from that poll where Wags was asking what controllers they use etc. Either way it remains a quality bit of kit. We can agree on that at least :)
  5. Not only does he want to know the sold he wants to be the sold. It's deep stuff.
  6. Ha Ha listen to this guy!! That is not gonna happen.
  7. No, not with GeForce Experience app. You can do it though with a program called OBS Studio. Jabbers explains it really well in this video. If that doesn't do it for you there is a program called Action that lets you select windows and areas of screens to record etc but you have to pay for this. Hope this helps.
  8. This was added on Monday in the open beta. It's in the F/A-18C input file along with other flight sticks. See here for the announcement. https://forums.eagle.ru/announcement.php?f=105
  9. Great link. Thanks.
  10. I don't know if it's been mentioned (I may have myself) Tornado IDS.
  11. Great stuff. As you know if you have the A-10C all the controls are already mapped (just need to do trim) If you have the Hornet I think they have a default setting already mapped but you have to actually load that from the controls screen. I only use Open Beta so I don't know about the stable version. It's a superb bit of kit. I've had mine for many years now and it still performs.
  12. Just suspend a bin or bathtub or something above you and then keep your wobbly head in that space. Simple really.
  13. Great stuff. Thanks for the link. Really enjoying watching these.
  14. Hey BigMac have you listened to It's an interview with Matt by a real former, Hornet fighter pilot. They have a great discussion regarding flight model and more importantly, and something I wasn't aware of is the feedback the Hornet gives to the stick regarding AOA and all sorts of stuff. If you have any concerns, or at least are interested in this aspect of the simulation, which you seem to be it is well worth a listen. A real eye opener.
  15. Thanks for the link. I like the way the F/A-18 does this it makes you get involved with what is an important part of the defence of the aircraft. However I would love to be able to do this from the planning phase of missions and be able to load a data cartridge before I get into starting up etc. i'm aware of the lua file thing. It's important to have the right programs for the particular mission you are about to go on and the different types of threat you face. And to be honest setting this up every time I fly a mission is going to get boring very quickly. I hope ED implement that sort of thing in the future.
  16. Indeed, you are entitled to act like a baby but this doesn't change any of the outcome.
  17. I have to agree. It's that good we hardly talk about it.
  18. This is so sweet! Brilliant stuff. Works great. Makes Case 1 so much more involved. Thanks!
  19. I'm at work listening to this quality podcast from my desk. Superb stuff. I wasn't aware of these podcasts. Listening to that former fighter pilot starting the Hornet in DCS was just amazing. I can't tell you how great it is to hear someone with that kind of background do what we all do. Will be subscribing from now on. Brilliant!!
  20. Can't go wrong with that list.
  21. It is a superb module. Like others have said I wasn't at all familiar with this aircraft before I purchased it but man I love that era of cold war technology and they have recreated that feel with this module. One of the best if not the best.
  22. As the others have said. Simply based on what you put in the first part of your post it's the Hornet. However Heatblur are going to be releasing the F-14 Tomcat soon and that sounds like something you will enjoy. The Hornet is of course early access and you will have a long wait for the full package. I'm using that time delay in all the weapon systems to perfect A2A refuelling (nailing it now) and the type 1 and 3 recovery back to the carrier. Both challenging but incredibly rewarding when you get them right. So when the other systems kick in I can have fun incorporating them into my flights. Hornet or Tomcat.

Have you seen the film Firefox with Clint Eastwood? I want it to be done like that.
  24. I know this doesn't help with the issue raised specifically but you can put the HSI up on the left MFD albeit without the map background. It feels a bit more comfortable than looking down into the pit. I also turn the map off and only use it when I need to find something like a nearby runway etc.
