aero uses ram, and video ram you want as much free as possible when running this sim.

Aero uses no VRAM when it's removed from the Direct3d Pipe.

Windows suspends the explorer rendering when DCS World takes over the Direct 3d Pipe Renderer.

It DOES however fight with DCS World over the Direct 3d Pipe Renderer and H.I.D. Pointers, specially in windowed mode and when alt+tabing.

Watch for the official updates thread ;)

Hmm, nothing about fixing the BS2 loading times.

I got this problem after an update and it went away with the next update so I've been scared too update again since in case it comes back, as people still seem to be having this problem.

It is funny though, that BS2 slow loading times (and also other modules' loading times, if BS2 is installed) aren't mentioned in the change log. Was this problem caused by something that IS mentioned in the changelog (digital signing, or map preloading perhaps)?

I ran the update utility and it updated fine. You can find it in your programs list in your start menu under Eagle Dynamics.

As for joining servers, they may already be running the new version, which would make your version obsolete/incompatible.

Yes, indeed.

I did not think about it, because it is usually done automatically when I ran the program.

Thank you for tips :)
