Silver_Dragon Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 (edited) From your Facebook https://www.facebook.com/pages/VEAO-Simulations/130582376992838?ref=stream&hc_location=timeline Hi Guys, With everything that is going on with the Hawk I thought I would show you guys one of the other models that we are developing. For those who are unfamiliar with it allow me to present the Shorts Tucano. A Twin seat trainer aircraft in primary use with the Royal Air Force as the stepping stone between the Grob Tutor and the BaE Hawk. We hope you like the way this aircraft is shaping up as much as we do! I am sure you will see more of this aircraft in the future All the best wishes to everyone Pman Edited May 12, 2014 by Silver_Dragon For Work/Gaming: 28" Philips 246E Monitor - Ryzen 7 1800X - 32 GB DDR4 - nVidia RTX1080 - SSD 860 EVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 2 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Warthog / TPR / MDF
kelusk Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Very nice. I won't be satisfied till I can fly the tutor though.
cichlidfan Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 If it's anything like a T-6 Texan II, then it should be lots of fun. ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! Silver_Dragon Posted May 12, 2014 Author Posted May 12, 2014 If VEAO make a Grob Tutor, can be make a very interesting "Air Training Combat Course". From first steep to a combat aircraft. joey45 Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I only flew the bulldog when I was in.. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. kazereal Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Long life to you, sirs, so we may see more great work :) "I would have written a shorter post, but I did not have the time."
streakeagle Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 I have always loved the Tucano and will gladly pay for one with an EFM comparable to PFMs. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

SDsc0rch Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 (ps, i'm curious... how long does it typically take to go from decision to model a given airframe, to publishing - ?) a year? two?? i7-4790K | Asus Sabertooth Z97 MkI | 16Gb DDR3 | EVGA GTX 980 | TM Warthog | MFG Crosswind | Panasonic TC-58AX800U [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

RagnarDa Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 ^^^ The Mi-8 seems to have been started sometime early 2009 and released late 2013... So four-five years is a reasonable guesstimate IMHO. Nice work VEAO! DCS AJS37 HACKERMAN There will always be bugs. If everything is a priority nothing is.
SDsc0rch Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 oh wow - so, a screenshot is posted in may2014 of a new aircraft (counting on my fingers...) mid-2018 earliest! *sigh* i7-4790K | Asus Sabertooth Z97 MkI | 16Gb DDR3 | EVGA GTX 980 | TM Warthog | MFG Crosswind | Panasonic TC-58AX800U [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
J7G Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 I would very cautiously say that helos are a much much much more complicated beast to put in the DCS skies than a fixed wing.
Sceptre Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 lol, it takes longer, and is more expensive to build a DCS plane than it is to build a real one RTX 2070 8GB | 32GB DDR4 2666 RAM | AMD Ryzen 5 3600 4.2Ghz | Asrock X570 | CH Fighterstick/Pro Throttle | TM MFDs | TrackIR 5
