Put this together using the A-10C 1:500K TAD chart pages. The detail isn't quite good enough for detailed mission planning, but the 1:250K scale did not have all of the pages and some of them were not great anyway.

Suggestions welcome.

These are just screenshots of the map. The complete map is very large and over 70MB.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Create a "high quality" PDF and copy it over - I am sure an iPad can open it.

I would be inclined to section it into pages with an index grid page if I were going to convert it to PDF for a tablet. My two cents. :)

I stumbled on this by accident. WOW!!!! beats TC-1 by a long shot.

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

I have the 1:250k JOG AIR of dcs world area of operation; If someone need it give me a call!

The JOG AIR it's to much details for jet BBQ mission, the TAD or TPC is the standard for a nav BBQ and for target area usually need the 1:50K!

Bye Bye!

Wasn't there some sort of usage license connected with the TAD maps?

Where (folder path) do I access the maps showed on TAD? By the way, I use Helios, and there is a set of airbase charts I can access, but I would like to change some of them and I can´t find their path. Any ideas?

Yes, they correspond very closely indeed. Hit http://www.earthpoint.us/Convert.aspx and then enter a MGRS coordinate such as 37TGG3629945643, which I took when I was sitting on the runway on Kobuleti in-game. Plot that in Google Earth, and the Google Earth imagery drops a marker right next to a runway :)

Admittedly the runway looks pretty old and disused, but it's the right spot nonetheless.

ipad 2 1:500 scale charts

to expand on the great job bivol did, I split his topo chart into ipad resolution sectionals. This works great and the detail for each part falls within the ipad resolution [1536X2048]

here is the link:

enjoy!

the next step would be to split the TC-1 into similar sectionals and now we have a compatible TAD+TC-1 for ipad. I was thinking about a 50/50 merge but the details wouldn't be straight readable. Once again I thank bivol for this wonderful job.
