Will BRU-55 appear in DCS F-18C?

The Navy received its first BRU-55 in 2006.

Here's the link.

Just will we get a 2005ish Hornet that has something added a year later? I'd definately appreciate the addition since it's not that far away. If it was a 2015 addition, I'd probably say no thanks, this won't be a mid 2000s Hornet anymore then. And after all, mission designers can limit the stores to their likings any day twilightsmile.png

JDAM/JSOW require a data connection to the aircraft (1760 interface), the BRU-33 doesn’t provide this, the BRU-55 does.

Paveway II/III LGBs don’t have any electronic connection to the aircraft.

Military procurement and test & eval programmes take years, purchase dates aren’t an indicator of in-service date.

JDAM came before BRU-55. We’ll be getting the former, but probably not the latter.

Yeah but you can find a VX- photo from 2001-2002's of BLU-55 testing in F/A-18. Info is really scarce in this.

If that's the case, how on earth can you change the laser CODE via cockpit?

In reality you can’t.

The only way to change laser code on GBU-10 (all versions) 12 (all versions) 24 (all version)

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
