Well I can say only what a pain in the arse this is..

To get rid of all the plains that I didn't buy and in some cases did not even try out..

I have to delete each on individually..

with a restart between each OMG ED could you have not made it easier to remove stuff that you are not giving away..

Super carrier who cares about that when I get reminded every time I start DCS that I didn't buy this plane and this plane... I'm sure you get the idea... now to get them off my computer.. is a painful experience !!!!!

A BIG Thank You to ED for this initiative.

It actually made me install, again, this superb sim, and acquire all ( less the D-9 ) ww2 modules, plus the ww2 assets pack and Normandy, and I have had a great time online again, after months away from DCS :-)

ED and DCS Rulezzzzz !!!!

As far as I know Steam versions are not compatible with regular DCS. Can you buy a module from Steam and use it on the non-Steam version of DCS?

Yes, you can transfer the key. The process is described on the DCS website. The other way around (standalone to Steam) is not possible.

I have to delete each on individually..with a restart between each OMG

You can use the command line, to uninstall without a restart in between, the syntax is:

DCS_Updater.exe uninstall <module>

For example: DCS_Updater.exe uninstall F-86F

The modules names are listed on this post: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2548018&postcount=4

You can even unistall several Modules at once, like this:

They were free so no complaints, just thanks, but yes deleting them was not the most user friendly experience. I have 2 screens so put what paid modules i have on one of them and deleted the leftovers through module manager on the other.

A delete button on the little screen that warns you the module will not be activated would have been nice but hey ho such is life. The game restarting each time you delete a module is a serious arggghhh moment. is there a way you can do them all at once?

How much longer, Ops? The engine’s overheating and so am I. We either stand down or blow up. Which do you want?

Thanks ED!

Yeah. Thanks ED for the outstanding event.

Even the problems with the uninstalling of several modules show how outstanding the decision was to offer us such a great opportunity.

Thanks Rudel_chw for the work around

How come the half price sale is not available as it says in the post below..Ive just gone to buy FA18 and Gulf, and they are full price....this quite clearly states

"giving you the opportunity to try something new, and to own it for 50% or less than the normal price.*"

and those 2 items are not part of the exclusion?

For stand alone DCS the month of the offer is over today. Only Steam goes on.

It's over alright. It has been one hell of a nice ride to be going on, just trying a lot of modules.

Yes, the aftermath of tidying up is a little bit messy for some, but thankfully there is a solution of using the console, if it bugs you. Personally I just started putting them back to the shelf one at a time a few days ago.

I've got something out of the earlier two-day trials and this. Have to say, it's just perfect for all those of us who are interested in a module but definitely not sure about it. Also, I had a few that I thought I might like to get 'one of these' but not both, so the ability to try something out sure helps in moving from 'well, neither then' to a decision.

Thanks a lot to ED and to all the other Dev teams for making it possible.

They were free, only that I installed and deleted each. That was not much for good experience. I installed and deleted harriet three times :D

I almost bought one, but then decided to learn Frogfoot first. Maybe hornet will be - 50% sometime again.

Thank you ED! This was fantastic!

As for the uninstall action, it's a little unintuitive, but I did it this way. De-selected a module, DCS then asks me to restart. I decline, go on about de-selecting the rest. When done, I exit by the exit "x" top right corner. DCS then asks me again to apply changes and restart. This time I comply and have everything done in one go.

Cheers!

The green buttons at the buy buttons in the ED store have been counting down the days and yesterday the hours from 24 to zero. Was very clear to me, sorry.

How frustrating..I misread the steam dates as those for everyone...!

I wasn't looking at the store I was looking in game where the purchases are listed :-)

Lesson learned...cost me £50 more than it should :-)

Thanks ED, brilliant to try out the F-5, Mig-19, FW-190, the suprisingly good Yak52 (I'd previously written it off as being 'boring/meh') and the CEII ('nuff said). I'll be spending some dingo dollars on some of these modules soon.
