Finally!!! Ordered it a moment ago.

Actually, I don't have any question, just had to vent the joy I feel :music_whistling:

Should have built your own for $3 bucks  Or maybe 8 bucks, excluding the cost of a webcam. Still vastly cheaper than the monopolized natural point devices.

I have trackIR and have been using them for years, haven't tried the free stuff though. I would rather buy the TrackIR cause it works great. I've heard mixed news on the ones you can make.

Depends on how well you make it really and with FreetrackIR the tracking was dodgy but once I switched over to FacetrackNOIR (which now has IR support and better filters) it worked beautifully. If you want the ultimate performance get a PS3 eye. Besides the TrackIR 5 having a built in processing unit I can't see what else makes it worth $150.00.

Just got mine a week ago. Been pretty happy with it. Didn't get the pro clip though because of the complaints I heard about it breaking. Plus I don't usually wear head phones.

Yes, I have - to be honest, I wasn't sure if it works without it (does it?). Got the whole bundle.

Have tried the cheap ones and it didn't work too good, but perhaps I was doing something wrong. On another note - is it difficult to set up the Track IR5 (lots of fine-tuning etc.)?

IMHO, it is easy to set up. Everyone is a bit different when it comes to TIR so your mileage may vary. This is probably the best TIR setup tutorial ever produced, if you want some guidance.

congratulations. this will truly increase your immersion. I am saving for consumer version of Oculus Rift. A good idea is to increase the number of tracked objects, and if you wear prescription glasses, be sure they are coated with anti-reflection material so your trackIR wont behave crazily. Many joyous years to come for you mate!

Check the user files sections there profile players have setup already(TY) btw thats what i use vs trying to troubleshoot the settings etc. Make sure your in a good aread without alot of extra light sources(windows etc) had to adjust my light threshold a bit to solve.

Welcome to the TrackIR community!

I had flew with FaceTrackNIR for a while but it is not even close to the TrackIR. This thing works out of the box. Maybe little curve adjustments according your own preferences and you are ready to take off.

I have bought mine a few months ago along with TrackClip Pro and I'm very satisfied. I'm sure you will be too. Moreover TrackIR works great with other sims too.

Track Clip Pro works great but you need to treat it nice so it don't break. Also make sure you check the selection for "Track clip" in the settings as the default is set to the head cap tracking! It's important :)

Make sure you have the proper lighting set up in your PC room! You're going to love it! It takes a week or two to get used to it but once you have it its just marvelous, I use it for ARMA 3, War Thunder and DCS A-10C. So far I just love it!

great move! you'll love it! I've been using TrackIR 5 for the last couple of years. Wouldn't think of having a flight sim without it. one of the best immersion adds out there. Enjoy!

The thought of not having my Track IR5 is terrifying!!

Ditto.... if mine died tomorrow I wouldn't hesitate to order another. The only problem would be not getting it fast enough

Also note... after reading multiple threads here about how easy it is to break the pro-clip, I lashed, strapped and nailed mine to by headphones... 2.5 yrs. and no breakage! Really pay attention to this!

Yer gonna love it!

I guess I'm old school. I've been using the hat clip since I bought it, and love it.

80% of the time, I don't fly with my headset on. Why would I, when I'm pumping my Xonar sound card to a 5.1 A/V receiver! that's the way to fly, with volume at "11"!!! :) fly it like you stole it!!!

TIR 5 is a total game changer! If you already have it, and have been using it, there are new drivers etc as of last year (found that out today, and haven't crashed the sim since updating!). As for the Pro Clip, I recently, somehow, broke mine. Nice thing about it is, a replacement is only $34. Enjoy your new in Sim freedom!!!

I think the track clip pro is horrible. I spent an entire day trying to set that thing up and still couldn't get it to work right. I went back to the hat clip, but I have that glued onto my headphones at the top. I may look like a right twerp, but it works a treat.

You must have missed the checkbox to activate the TrackClip!
