that's an option, but do you know if on the same airport it should be the same camo for all the buildings?

I don't have a lot of reference picts...

 

i live in the former gdr - and yes, all the camo on several buildings of soviet airfields were nearly the same. you choose a very good mix of colors. :-)

 

for the ammunition depot, hangars, HAS and tower the same or nearly the same camos and colors are no problem in my opinion.

you cant, not yet, if he works for ED as a partner then probably we will get those textures in the next official patch(es), i guess

maybe he will release it as a separate mod but we dont know yet

 

It was the texture templates, they are alot different to the ones that i did for FC2 and that put me off.

 

sad story, your textures were really good for fc2 Mustang :thumbup:

maybe one day i will revisit your textures with the fc2 model files/templates and try to reuse them in dcsw

iirc you made/modded textures mostly for the civil houses/condominiums/buildings, right?, not for the military buildings ? or some of your new fc2 textures were for the same objects as Ricardo works on ? :dunno:

WIP of the week end

 

Hello,

3 new buildings.

Farm A that could be use also as a hangar in airport areas.

A factory / hangar with a lot of window bays

and that little ware house that has a camouflage.

Textures are shared with konteners so we have also an army contener as bonus object :)

just crazy good..so RICARDO..is this gonna be a standalone mod or will these textures be implemented in vanilla DCS?!?:)

On the other hand; I wish we had dynamic building objects in DCS 2.0

I mean that when fire at that hangar or a building, it would be very funny to see breaking windows or destroying bricks, walls etc... :joystick:

when is see the overview of all that buildings - a big and many years old wish comes into my mind: can you put your hands on the tr_budka, please? :-)

Time for wishes ;-) the "tr_budka" file is located on the building.zip?

 

Anyway, something seems weard to me. there is a lot of buildings in theses overview screens that are in game but seeking around all the zips of DCS i couldn't find them.

Farm B is one of them but they are many.

i dont understand you :( where can you see the name "Farm B" ? in the mission editor ? in the encyclopedia ?

should be better to talk about only edm file names because many edm-structures are not in the mission editor/structures nor in the encyclopedia,

so i guess when you talk about "Farm B" then you talk about the ferma_b.edm file

again: you should better to not use mission editor and encyclopedia names because many old model needs facelift as well which are not in the mission editor and encyclopedia

(and those names differ from edm file names too), so we will need to talk about edm file names only - those edm file names are visible in the \Bazar\Terrain\Structures\Preview folders as bmp pictures - so we should use those preview bmp file names !

especially if you use the modelviewer which can show the used/needed texture file name(s) too - what you will need to know when you are looking for textures names for ceh_a, ceh_b, ceh_b1 etc. models

You are 100% right, for the farmB, i should have use ferma_b.edm name instead.

I have discover the Preview folders only las week and it was very helpfull.

FYI, if any object is sharing textures, I can usually make it use a unique one if you want. Also I can usually assign a normal map for extra detail to any existing model

hey ricardo, excellent work!!! maybe you can also make a camo paint and highres skin like the one above for the hangar also for the ammunition depot?

 

i took some real life pictures of the ammunition depot of eberswalde/finow, the only former mig-25pd airbase in eastern germany.

 

please feel free to use it for repainting the ammunition depot in dcs. :-)
