Last I heard google+ was defunct, as in everyone working on it has, or will be moved to more productive projects.

Take that with a grain of salt, its just what I've read on the interwebz.

Dude, you say it like it's a bad thing.

The reason I don't like all of my accounts merged is because I don't want everyone I know and all of their friends knowing everything I do every time I do anything.

Having a single account for everything makes it more difficult to manage privacy, and makes it much worse if someone gets your password.

I dont have any issues with YT Live, Streams Live and in Good Quality Like a normal YT Video, to a huge audience.

Problem is it's not available to everyone to use, and their default plugin for broadcasting sucks something fierce

I had to change my account settings to use external software and use O.B.S. to broadcast 1080p/24 FPS at 3500kbit stream directly to their server and it works fine.

After I end the live stream I can transfer it to my Saved videos and people can search/watch it like a normal Youtube Video.

Twitch always gave me issues for one reason or another,

AMD's Gaming Evolved App always wanted to fight over it for some reason,

I think I have to uninstall both, and re-install AMD Gaming Evolved and leave Twitch Standalone off.

But AMD GE Twitch only works with Games on the AMD GE List.

So it's one issue or another.

My only Issue with YT is the degrading video quality and the account merge harassment, lol.

At this point I cant even comment on my own videos in response to people.

I dont want anther Google+, I dont even use the one I Have, and I Dont want to use my Real name on my YT Account.... so I Have to constantly close the "merge accounts" message box.

I was REALLY done with google once i had to make a stupid google account just to get access to my (crappy) youtubes.

Then google started asking for my freaking PHONENUMBER every 3 minutes, then giving "suggestions" of people i should add, randoms out of my mailbox

That's a shame ... Twitch was a kind of YT refugy. I had some old YT movies which stays ok for a while, when suddenly they were off sounds due to its internal stupid regulations.

Google is not "my friend" since the begining, and I avoid to use it as much as possible (but not totally).

My privacy is something I care about and I will not allow tresppasing.

It's all about mitigating the hurt. I have found that resorting to blissful ignorance also helps sometimes, that's of course until reality turns around and rearranges the marbles.

I actually like my Google/Gmail setup... most of all my stuff in one spot... doesnt bug me too much... I havent seen any downsides so far...

I like Google, I don't even understand the google+ hate however they just dropped the ball on YouTube with draconian copyright rules which are heavily misused, now the same will most likely twitch happen to twitch and that's really sad because twitch was a cool place.

And BTW, what is currently the best method to 'increase privacy' online? Well, observe what data miners want you to do very much. They want you to connect. Connect the services. All in one place etc. to 'connect the dots'. Information from two sources don't sum up. One might say they multiply. So you know what to do :) Diversify!

More important things in life than worrying about how much Google is making... couple years from now it will be the next guy.... and will keep cycling like that...

I guess I am weird.. I like opening up my gmail and having access to most everything else I use on the net...

Yeah, of all the things to be annoyed by, the account merger is one I really do not get. It's a convenience I like, just like I like how all Blizzard games are accessible through one account.

Youtube copyright policies are what they are because they pretty much don't have a choice, though. They must handle it the way they do to keep themselves out of liability for your videos. Anyone annoyed at that should keep that in mind come election day. :)

I just dislike google's constantly changing user interfaces. Youtube especially annoys me in this regard. I hate google for making Chrome into the Call of Duty of web browsers. That ruined Opera.

And sometimes I don't want to log my master account into everything so that it automatically logs something I do on some random website so that it can spit it back at me when I'm browsing another. That shit is so parasitic. I remember how facebook would link my private life into some random crap I was reading on Scribd. This happened when I would log in and Facebook automatically linked the accounts and suddenly my real name is appearing on some website I never wanted it on.

I can accept the convenience of linked accounts just fine, its the way they keep trying to get my real name on everything that bothers me. I prefer my online anonymity and the likes of google just try and make that harder.

I feel corps like this really hamper user choice and thats my biggest issue. Gimme my choices back bitch. I don't own an Iphone and I am not lost when the interface isn't the exact same on every device. I prefer my choices open as in "would you like this?" instead of "DO THIS NAOW!!!!! even though technically you don't have to"

Also I hate nested menus and everytime there's an update to youtube or something owned by google I fully expect to find some option buried in a new menu. I have had to add a whole extra button press to every video I ever watch on youtube now thanks to them nesting the video quality behind another menu layer (Click the gear, then click the quality). That shit is so annoying. There's so much room on my screen and they hide this stuff for some reason.

Then use chrome without an account? The account managing is like one of the good things about chrome.

There is absolutely nothing Google does that forces you to use your real name.
