[W.I.P] F-15C HD Cockpit Mod

Recommended Posts

Its not hard to get horse of war working again, they just modified the folder layout so there are less paths to get to the texture..

to get it working just change the folder layout from

...\Mods\aircraft\A-10C\Cockpit\Resources\Model\Textures

to

...\Mods\aircraft\A-10C\Cockpit\Textures

See it's working in mine: (granted, i took the liberty of adding a few personal touches to his version xD)

The above works for all cockpit textures, just replace A-10C with the proper folder name for your aircraft.

for the F-15C its: ...\Mods\aircraft\Flaming Cliffs\Cockpit\Textures

Hi guys, I just installed this GREAT  mod in my 1.5.2 and it works like a charm and whats more...I want to ask you c@sper...how did you managed to make the gauges glass to shine at some angles???

its a great effect I was looking for, I dont remember the F15 default cockpit textures tu do that...

In fact, I would like to make it even stroger...here are a couple of screens.

I will definitely watch this for the final product...Keep up the great job mate!

This is most likely not going to ever be fully completed. He started this 2 years ago and has said nothing on it since. The product he created is great, I love it but don't expect a fully finished product after 2 years of nothing. Unless its DCS F-15E, then BELIEVE!!!

If this is an HD Cockpit mod, why did someone report that the gauges are harder to read? :dunno:

It aims to make the cockpit more realistic and close to an aircraft that has been used. The "harder to read" gauges have slight fogging up happening. It is a very realistic mod, they are not impossible to read but if the sun shines directly on them it can be more difficult. I love this mod, makes the F-15 look great imo.

How would you undo this mod if you dont like it?

Delete the folder you added?

if using JSGME then just disable the mod, but, if you drag and dropped straight into DCSW folder then you will have to delete the files you added and run a repair. This will also remove any other mods you have installed. The reason for this is, the mod replaces files, thus you cannot single out the original files as they were replaced. Getting rid of them and repairing will make DCS add back the old ones.

I installed it that way (dropping files replacing originals) and surprisingly, after deleting the whole rar file and repairing DCS it still working?¿?¿?...I cant manage to get rid of it...any help please??

replace it with the backup that you should have made

otherwise DCS should have made a backup folder with the original files in, maybe though

Mustang, are you giving us all the files for the mod, or just the ones you fixed/modified?

It's the whole mod including the fixed file, the download is only 10.2 mb so it's not too bad (the fixed file is F-15C_Cockpit_texture_2.dds in case you needed to know)

EDIT: OK, it seems like the path to install into the stable release version 1.5.6 is different than listed in post #1 for the open beta.

The stable release version path is: Mods\aircraft\Flaming Cliffs\Cockpit\Textures\

Thank you so much mustang , that HSI bug was holding me back from this mod .

Any chance of someone making this "Custom Cockpit" compatible? I would give it a shot but clueless where to start.
