If ED made the Su-27 into a completely new module with both PFM and ASM right now. (That means you don't get it for free even if you have the Flaming Cliffs)

And they charge you as much as an new DCS standard module like the A-10C. Would you buy it?

It seems that the ED is not fully committed to work on the old planes from the lock on series due to the financial issue. On the one hand ED want to bring all the planes to DCS standards, on the other hand, they are very ethical business men who don't want us to pay twice for the same plane. But without an income for those planes, it is hard for them put more work in them. We all know how much it can cost them for hiring people to work on those program. That is a large amount of money.

So I am just showing that we are actually willing to pay and they have our support in bringing good old aircraft like the Su-27 to DCS standards.

That depends on what version we are talking about but I suppose that yes.

Do, or do not, there is no try.

The demand for high fidelity fighters is so high, I'm sure a DCS level Su-27 would be an instant hit. Financially too.

The added value would completely justify selling a new module I think.

I said No because I'm not really interested in the Flanker. That doesn't mean that I wouldn't buy it later when the price was around 15 dollars just to support the community.

I would -- of course; it's my favorite aircraft as well.

I am also very curious what our Russian DCS enthusiasts have to say about that, as that's a rather large market as well.

Not sure where you got this from? Anyways, I am pretty confident that ED is aware of what might make them money and what might not, its not always about that though, there are many factors to picking an aircraft to create I am sure...

Depends on the variant.

I would very much love having missiles hanging from my 27 that are not time-locked in the 80's.
