There wasnt any mention if FPS problems, the newsleter just mentioned further performance optimizations and the user assumed ED means FPS.

There was no such comment, he has misread the comment on performance improvements, which will probably be ongoing right through release... no FPS issue was suggested.

+100 Headshot

On that note... I know alot of mission designers that are super excited about 3rd party Campaign License Agreements and Copy Protection.

Would be awesome to have an advanced designed with great programming knowledge take on dynamic campaign. That's probably just me being a dreamer, but that was the first thing I thought when I read it.

That would be something else, but yes, I hope one day more steps are taken in that direction, we already has some pretty dynamic components to the missions...

Although it has issues for NTTR, what about release the 2.0 just for current map, then we can have dedicated server.

Ummm.. Dedi-Server was never said to be a 2.0 Release feature AFAIK.

Trust me no one is cheering for a Dedi-Server tool more than me.

I'm curious how they'll handle that. Of course you'd want copy protection for official pay ware but not for community created missions and campaigns. I'm sure they'll have it all figured out.

Well, I expected bigger "wow" in last 2014 newsletter, so taking in consideration past, new game will be January, February :)

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

I know a few designers that would continue making community missions but they'd also like to work on more detailed/elaborate campaigns as well.

Doesnt mean it will be available on initial release of 2.0, but that 2.0 makes it possible and its planned at some point when 2.0 is released.

Oops sorry, completely forgot about that update. I was assuming it was coming after 2.0 like the mission editor and 3d assett integration, etc

Either way, when it gets here I'll be one happy person, even my ISP was asking why I wasnt running a game server yet with my internet package..lol

+1 There is still a glimmer of hope though for the latter part of December though. Bright side is I may catch up on some much needed rest during my 2 week break if it's not ready by then.

Also I saved a bunch money by switching my car insurance to GEICO............:music_whistling: :pilotfly:

Rushing 2.0 wouldnt just suck, it would be devastating for ED after all this time to rush it out the doors when we are so close to the finish line, you dont have to look far in the sim industry these days to see what happens when poor decisions are made with your product and how a community can riot ;)

Most definitely this!! /\
