I had to re-read that bullet item again.

It seemed to me at one time that public alpha was only for those that purchased the A-10C beta, but looking at the bold portion it seems that those of us who didn't purchase the A-10C beta may still have access to the NTTR map, but with a cost, which I have no gripe with. I hope I understand that correctly, if not someone please correct me. :)

*Note to self: Reading is fundamental*

I think you are grasping at straws. The bold portion merely means that a public release date and a purchase price have not be determined.

I have never minded buying stuff for this sim, even if I don't use it and I will definitely buy this new map.

I still don't get it and Raven has confused me even more :) Can someone clear this up and say if it's it only the A10C beta testers that are going to get this NTTR map as an alpha? Sometimes the way these guys word things can lead you to thinking two different things at once :) A bit like in the February news letter, when I took it to mean that DCS 2 was about to be released.

Now after looking at what Ravens has said, I'm unsure if this is even going to be an alpha test for use all.

edit: On a side not.. How frustrating would it be, if all the A10C beta testers were playing it and not everybody else? Now that would defiantly test your ability to remain calm LoL.

Not beta testers. People who purchased it while it was in beta, which was late 2010 thru sometime near the end of February of 2011.

Thought I read somewhere that ED stated Alpha build was going to be for players who purchased the A10C beta. I'd think they'd wanna open it to more than just that though for a wider range of pc builds/testing etc.

So they get to test it first and we don't then?

They just get it for free. It will be made available to everyone at the same time. Some of us will just have to pay for it, that's all it says.

I don't see the point in opening to just those that purchased the A10C in beta. I mean, they get the map for free as it is, and it would just leave other people frustrated that they couldn't play it. Also, it would be a better test on many computers, like you said.

As long as we get DCS World 2 at the same time, I'll be happy. I don't mind flying in Georgia a little longer.

Some people seem to think this isn't the case and that's what's got me thinking.

It is stated that the Nevada alpha will be for those that purchased a10c during its beta. As Nevada was a map that was suppost to come with the A10c but those who have been here since the beginning saw what happened with that. The way I see it it is kind of a kind gesture to those of us who purchased a10c at the beginning and granting us alpha Nevada map access.

Don't care either way just want to fly Dcs 2.0. I agree mods and or developers should make it more clear for everybody. As I understand it Nevada alpha is for the a10c beta purchasers

Speculation on who gets what first at this point is moot.

However; Alpha comes before Beta.

I guess I may have misunderstood. I just don't see what benefit there would be to not putting it up for sale it to the general playerbase with an alpha or beta tag on it. I'm pretty sure the community can handle an alpha/beta release at this point. A-10C beta purchasers get it for free which still honours the deal they were supposed to get way back when.

Doesn't really matter either way, I'm just trying to understand the logic behind it.

They said beta or alpha in march-june its all I wait.
