Koriel Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 (edited) Website is back up! let the search for clues commence! P-38?? Hmmm Edited January 14, 2015 by Koriel
MiG21bisFishbedL Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I've been terrorizing Hoggit with the "heavy breathing" photo, I'm this close to posting it here as well if the Flogger proves true. They've mentioned a desire to do so. Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!
Manuel_108 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Anyone with a website url? I can't find it strangely. Edit: nvm found it, just didn't appear on the google pages.

Bassly Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Those are the same background images since the site went initially online some months ago. True, been there a while and for the rest we'll just have to wait patient. I just don't see the reason why someone would put aircraft on their official page when they have nothing to do with them. /end of speculation.
MiG21bisFishbedL Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Well, this is what we do know in regards to their aircraft projects: They have 3 in advanced states of development. That's 3 aircraft that are highly developed. But, people seem to miss or forget the part where they said they had multiples in varying other states of completion. So, the previewed images are all possibilities. They've been teasing F-14 to the point where it's almost confirmed. Cobra had some involvement with RAZBAM's DCS A-7 project (IIRC, I could be imagining things) but I can't recall to what degree and I'd like to think that's been passed off to LNS. Let a man dream. In that interview that's got a ridiculously long thread, a MiG-23 is a desired project. Reformers hate him! Teeter Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 What? A tomcat? Where? As for the site; I hope it will be online by tomorrow as our ticket got escalated today. (12 days after submitting it! Fantastic support.) Perhaps time to switch hosting companies, Cobra? Or maybe it's time you set up your own hosting server! /Gregory Smiddy Programming Heatblur Simulations https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/
Aginor Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I think one of the reasons for speculations about a possible LNS F-4 or P-38 were those pictures, and it was never confirmed that they were actually in the works. EDIT@Teeter: Cobra already hinted at that in another thread. This is not good support. DCSW weapons cheat sheet speed cheat sheet
MiG21bisFishbedL Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Perhaps time to switch hosting companies, Cobra? Or maybe it's time you set up your own hosting server! Yeah, I'd be upset. Very upset. It's one thing to run a personal site that goes down, but this is business to them. 12 days offline? It's time to lodge some serious complaints. Reformers hate him! KesMonkey Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Tomcat? To say I'm excited would be massively understating it.
rrohde Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Didn't they already hint at the Tomcat for quoting the song from Top-Gun "You've lost that loving feeling"? That's a dead giveaway. ;) PC: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X | MSI Suprim GeForce 3090 TI | ASUS Prime X570-P | 128GB DDR4 3600 RAM | 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD | Win10 Pro 64bit Gear: HP Reverb G2 | JetPad FSE | VKB Gunfighter Pro Mk.III w/ MCG Ultimate VKBcontrollers.com

kontiuka Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 so, when are they gonna let the tomcat out of the bag?:)
Toxic Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 so, when are they gonna let the tomcat out of the bag?:) Your guess is as good as mine. I really don't care what aircraft they come out with. I will be happy with anything Leatherneck makes amazing products :):) #CHOPPERLIVESMATTER http://www.aircombatgroup.co.uk/ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

MBot Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 The thing that really makes me curious it what aircraft will be released this year ("You shouldn't expect to have to wait until 2016 to fly a new Leatherneck module"). I consider the Tomcat confirmed, but think it is very unlikely that it will be released this year. It must be something simpler.

The F-14 I would assume because it's the one that has been hinted at the most. Link to my Imgur screenshots and motto http://imgur.com/a/Gt7dF One day in DCS... Vipers will fly along side Tomcats... Bugs with Superbugs, Tiffy's with Tornado's, Fulcrums with Flankers and Mirage with Rafales... :)The Future of DCS is a bright one:)

Revan Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Since the LNS site is back up, anyone figured out what the special new thing is? DCS: F-4E really needs to be a thing!!!!!! Aircraft: A-10C, Ka-50, UH-1H, MiG-21, F-15C, Su-27, MiG-29, A-10A, Su-25, Su-25T, TF-51
MBot Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 And where do you get this hunch from? The mulicrew technology demonstrator from ED, the L-39, is still several months from being completed. Leatherneck's Tomcat will depend on ED's multicrew technology. Moreover, the revision of carrier ops by ED, on which the Tomcat again depends, is also in a distant future. ED will probably do this in conjuncture with the Hornet, which is again very far away. Considering this and the general complexity of the F-14, I would be extremely surprised if it is released within the next 12 months. On the other hand LNS stated that they will cater almost all of our tastes, which I read as that they will do aircraft from different eras. A release of a much less complex WWII or Korea era aircraft within this year is therfore a more likely possibility.
