Your prefered China PLAAF Aircraft for DCS

Hi DCS virtual pilots,

 

I would like to do a market investigation. (You can vote as many as you want)

 

If, I said IF, there would be an aircraft module of China PLAAF,

which ONE do you prefer or want MOST?

 

J-10A AI is in consideration.

Here is an early WIP J-8II 3d model which is not for DCS, and this is not a teasing.

But wanna say: impossible is nothing. ;)

I would prefer a DCS level J-10 or J-20... Or a JH-7.

 

As for J-8, it is interesting, but more as a collectible...

Gonna have to go with the J-10.. Not interested in F-35-knock-off stealth or licensed copies of Russian stuff and the J-10 is probably the most unique out of the mainstay Chinese fighters.

People can dream... But then we have to return to reality. J-10 and J-20 are highly classified now... J-20 is still in the prototype stage. DCS:J20 is hopeless.

J-7 first and foremost for me. Can't believe I'm the only one voted for it :P. Basically MiG-21 with better missiles, a bit better agility, a bit better view from cockpit, and depending on version, better engine & multirole abilities.

 

J-8 II, Q-5 are also very wellcome.

 

4th I've clicked is JF-17 but, to be honest I don't see how it could be introduced beyond AI.

 

Although I didn't click it, I probably would eventually buy a Yak prop tariner too.

 

Another one I didn't click, but wouldn't say no is J-6, MiG-19 rip-off right? I'd prefer to see others before this one but, can't say no it either.

 

While finding relevant and available data may be very difficult, if it could be, some Chinese aircraft would add a lot to sim environment / mission possibilities for people like me who don't care about geographical location at all.

 

 

Edit : Wow just realized I forgot JH-7, but well it's not in the list anyway. It'd be interesting though.

I might be bias but the J7G would be my preferred option ;)

 

Big fan of that version. A J10 would be a good one though- I think capabilities can be guessed reasonably accurately and you could make it just as accurate as the VEAO Typhoon will be IMO.

 

As an aside, I want to say something to you, uboats. Thank you so very much for all the Chinese themed mods you've done. My Chinese language is pretty poor but I find that flying in one of your cockpits helps me get into a good frame of mind for study. So thanks!

JF-17, J-10, I found the other ones to be too close to their russian inspirations.

Also J-8(I or II) or Q-5.

I'm definitely a fan of the J-8II, especially with a map of some sort.

 

It's an interesting design and I like the resemblance to the Su-15 flagon. Similar evolution for the two.

The JF-17 would be my top pick as a full DCS plane as it would be the most competitive with current and planned DCS offerings. Tied with that choice but not offered is the J-10. Both would be day 1 buys from me at the regular module price.

I had to look these planes up as I don't know much about them, I'd love to see the J10, wiki said its known as the Vigorous Dragon in the 'West'...now that's what I call a name!
