TurboRUSH
Hey everyone, There is a possibility that I may not be able to participate and I know there are several people who want to fly a Ka-50. If I can't make it, then I will post on this forum one hour before the event so others can take my spot.
JimTM
Chuck, When I ran the mission yesterday, I noticed a truck traveling on the taxiway, nearest the blue smoke. We may need to do our pickups on the far side of the taxiway to avoid collisions with ground vehicles. I wonder if we may need to do some pickups in the grass on the other side of the smoke. With 16 potential transport choppers, it may get a bit crowded on one side of the taxiway. Jim

Charly_Owl
Hey Chuck are there any specific mods that we need or is this a clean mission?? ... and skins etc... No skins, no mods, nothing. It's just to ensure maximal compatibility with everyone since it's a public event. Vietnam Mod is allowed since it uses the fall textures and won't impact anyone. Update Number 2: Computer is fixed. Charly_Owl
Some last thoughts before the event tomorrow: 1) This is a coop mission. If you want to do your own thing, Single Player is probably better for you. 2) Listen to what the flight leads tell you. 3) Particular word of advice for Ka-50 pilots: this mission is not meant to be an all-you-can-eat Black Shark buffet. Initially, the mission wasn't supposed to have Ka-50s in the first place (but I added them due to popular demand), so it is normal that you won't find the mission hard. Resistance will not be particularly difficult for you to deal with, but please don't flip the map in 5 minutes... Your job is to support the Slicks, not go full berserk. Cover the approaches of the transport choppers; that's all we're asking. 4) We will spawn in flights of four. Try to stay with the members of your flight. Groups will need to be organized or it's gonna be a real clusterf***. For instance, the loading zone is quite small so Slicks will not be able to load their troops at the same time (people will have to wait their turn and line up on the runway for assembly). 5) Radio comms: keep them brief and minimal. If you want to talk about your week-end, fine... but AFTER the mission. 6) The roster listed in the first post are the aircraft assigned to those who reserved them. People who are on this list will have dibs on their ships until the event starts (if you're late to the event, someone can take your spot). If you want to fly a machine (like the Ka-50) and there are no available slots, well either fly something else or wait to see if one of them is a no-show. 7) Be courteous, be nice. Be a teamplayer. 8) The mission is not designed to be excruciatingly hard: we're just here to have fun and fly choppers in an organized manner. 9) And last but not least, be on time. Briefing will start at 1700 EST (2200 UK TIME) to get the flights sorted out and the whisper lists set up. King_Hrothgar
Was a lot of fun and the first time I had an opportunity to use the UH-1 in a proper mission for it. Also thanks to the host, no lag and smooth as can be expected given the abuse we were giving DCS with that mission.

f86enthusiast
Well done Chuck!
