BodyOrgan Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 With respect to player count how about doubling AI aircraft globally if one coalition has only 2 and the other more than 10 and triple if over 15. I say globally as it won't matter to the 2 man coalition, they're surely not going to attack. Also what about removing Songalung from the AI aircraft respawn, this would reduce the 6 ship of F-16s taking off from that area down to a more acceptable 4 ship. Attacking this area is extremely tough with even a lot of players against very few. I'd say right now to attack it requires 16v4 just to achieve parity and let ability and luck decide. I was just about to say. Doubling the AI we can forget SO, TL, and VA.

gregzagk Posted October 20, 2016 Author Posted October 20, 2016 Thanks to Cisco, who got in touch with us and worked fast, we set up the new DCS Server which will host our upcoming events. The Server is provided by Blix Solutions who were really generous and provided us with a decent dedicated server to host DCS events. http://www.blix.com As Round 9 is still running with the previous setup, the new server is up and running a test version of the Korean War version of Blue Flag. Feel free to join and fly with F-86F, MiG-15, P-51D, FW-190, BF-109 (WW2 German aircraft simulate Northe Korean Warplanes). SOP will be available asap. There were also many aircraft similar to the WW2 ones back then so we can "simulate" it somehow. http://www.militaryfactory.com/aircraft/korean-war-north-korean-aircraft.asp It's the second attempt after "Case Blue" so we will see how it goes. Greg I have no problem with the F-51. It actually fought there and belongs in such a scenario, the german aircraft ruin the experience for me (Immersion!!). I would rather have the F-51 removed as well, than having german aircraft fight over Korea. Case Blue was great, so I have high hopes for BlueFlag Korea :) Edited October 20, 2016 by QuiGon Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

Hansdampf Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 (edited) Congratulations for finding a sponsor! Hope the new server runs fine and some issues can be solved with it! Do we have to put Blix-advertisement on our airframes now? ;) I agree it seems a little weird to have Bf-109s and Fw-190s in this scenario… It is a pity that there are no Soviet planes available in DCS to fulfill their roles. Will transport choppers be available as well? I know they don’t perfectly fit in the scenario either but there is a lot of fun and strategic depth lost when you leave them out. Also in this low-tech environment they could for once be used as CAS-platforms. Edited October 20, 2016 by Hansdampf [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Unarmed TF-51 fulfils the role of deploying logistics (AAA truck or Radar) but thats not to say they definitely won't be in for the actual round. We'll see how testing goes! Capturing is done by simulated paratroopers again the same as Case Blue so Air superiority is essential to be able to capture an airfield. The Huey would simply be a substitute much like the German aircraft since their isn't a playable period correct chopper.

I don't see anywhere where Greg has said that Korea will be round 10 aside from him saying that its in testing on the other server. On top of that, I don't see anywhere that he says that the new host will host round 10. He just says they are hosting the Korean version. If I missed anything where he did say this, please let me know. Second, you really need to change your name as it always sounds like to new people that you are making official announcements when you're not a member of the BS team. Moreover, I can't believe someone like you is affiliated with them. Gives blueflag a bad name
