They fly the -5 version until the end they jump into a D version.

Sorry Juan, they don't fly the -5 version.

- the movie was filmed (mostly) with Orange's Airbase aircraft, home of 2000Cs (and Bs). The exception being the african scenes, shot with EC 4/33 Vexin (4/33 squadron) based @ Djibouti, and the only French Mirage squadron to fly both 2000Cs and 2000Ds (from 2002 to 2008; from 2008 to 2011, the squadron was 3/11 Corse with the same aircraft mix; from mid-2011 to now, same squadron name but 2000-5s replaced 2000Cs).

- taker a closer look, the aircraft they fly have a "perchette anémométrique" (air data probe) at the tip of the nose; like 2000Cs, Bs and Ns do; this probe doesn't exist on the -5s (nor on the Ds because those more modern versions have "anémométrie pariétale" - parietal air data).

- the aircraft they fly have big air-to-air missiles under the inner wing pylons; that's the 530Ds, not the -5's MICAs (which would be carried either from outer wing pylons, either from fuselage pylons).

- the red throttle is another characteristic feature of the 2000C/Bs that the -5s doesn't have.

I guess I'll stop there.

Of course you're right. But cockpit views are from 2000-5 type, hence the confusion :smilewink:

Didn't remember that. Will take your word on it, I'm looking at the moon, no time to review the movie now :)

The multiple MFDs can be seen as well as the screen below the HUD (what is that actually?).

It's the radar display :)

In the video trailer posted by Az', all cockpit views are from the C.

But indeed in the full movie, some views are from the -5 (and maybe from the D, can't remember).

Is the police light simulated by the way on the M2000C ? Not sure how it works in reality, it's just some kind of a flashlight right ?

Police light is a searchlight on a fixed mount that allows the pilot to identify an aircraft´s characteristics, like the tail number, in the dark.

I'm a little dissapointed it (probably) wont carry exocet and armat... when new modules come out i'm always looking for something the module can do that no or almost no other current aircraft can , and both ASW and SEAD are 2 of those things. I don't want unrealistic weapons included i'm just saying it's a shame our variant cant use them

+1 I would love to see a NATO aircraft capable of SEAD....

Night Operations

Hi everyone.

Pre-Purchased M-2000C module and I am so excited but I have 1x question.

I would like to know will the pilot have night optics like the A-10C?

If it doesn't work how it should, give it a good HARD smack. 100% fixed every time.

Good question to ask Wags. He's doing a Q&A on the M2000C on the 18th. You can post your question here. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=148964

FWIW, the real aircraft is compatible with NVGs, but they were seldom used at Cambrai AFB:

- not useful for night BVR

- no night CAC

- no night (secondary role) ground attack.

F-16 / MiG-29 / M2000 = light fighters

F-15 / Su-27 = heavy fighters

If you want a French equivalent to the latter it would rather be the Rafale, though still lighter and more next-gen, so not a perfect match...

That would be the Mirage 4000, basically a double 2000. Rafale is a relatively small and light aircraft (but not harmless :) ).

Yep, as I said in another post ;)

But the 4000 never saw service, unfortunately...

PS : Rafale is light compared to F-15 / Su-27, not to others.
