Is it as dangerous to fly as I'm hoping it will be? :)

Would you mind giving some examples of how you managed to kill yourself? Thanks!
Let's say it is crucial to follow the numbers, as mentioned in the NATOPS flight manual and Zeus67's Pocket Guide.

AOA, flap settings, Water injection, nozzle setting etc.

Read all the details about settings carefully and be ready to react quickly and in a controlled manner...

Unfortunately, if anything goes awry during transition to jetborn flight it will(!) go tits up and you won't manage to do anything about it.

And as a helicopter junky I now perfectly understand why the heli-pilots transitioning to the early AV-8As had such a high toll...

Let's say it is not helpful when you land and want to slam the Collective, erh, Throttle down, ehm, forward... ;)

I need to re-read the manual. If I remember right, side-slip control is pretty critical. Power limited approaches are often common, with RPM/EGT limits being easy to exceed. Does this sim punish you if you exceed them? I'm guessing not necessarily, as exceedences don't have to lead to immediate issues.

Some exterior mesh shapes look too alpha for me.
How do you see these from the cockpit???

We will need Razbam to answer that. Keep in mind it is pre-purchase/early access.

In the Pocket Guide a lot of things are already mentioned. The remaining procedures will keep us occupied for a long time, I guess. :D

Just by watching over the shoulder. The cockpit itself got a pretty obvious place-holder multi-segment font (Mirage 2000 too btw)

I'll buy :

МиГ-23МЛД & МЛА МиГ-27К МиГ-25 Mirage III F-4E any IJ plane 1950' Korea Dynamic campaign module

Do you normally have collective down as throttle forward or back?

In helicopters as collective down (decrease lift) and in a jet as throttle forward as you would expect in the real world counterparts. So muscle memory for a hover is counterproductive for the AV-8B... "Ouch-time!" ;)
