Yep, exactly that. If you make any changes  to the config make sure you copy 'Options.lua' over to the 'Options VR MT.lua' or 'Options 2D MT.lua' files before next use.

I wish i had thought of this ...

rename the dcs.exe to dcs.exe.st

then use mklink to create a soft link to the dcs.exe in bin-mt

mklink dcs.exe <path to dcs folder>\bin-mt\dcs.exe

That was the first thing I've tried. But DCS crashs if I start it.

@EDIT: I tried it again and now it works. WTF. That's great! Thank you.

mklink dcs.exe ..\bin-mt\dcs.exe

Create two batch files in your dcs-Installdir\bin with the content below.
Make shortcuts at your desktop and activate "Run as administrator" (needed for mklink)
Now you can switch easily.

1-enable-mt.bat

cd /d <replace-with-your-install-path>\bin
IF NOT EXIST DCS-st.exe COPY dcs.exe DCS-st.exe
IF EXIST dcs.exe DEL dcs.exe
mklink dcs.exe ..\bin-mt\dcs.exe
pause

2-disable-mt.bat

cd /d <replace-with-your-install-path>\bin
IF NOT EXIST DCS-st.exe COPY dcs.exe DCS-st.exe
IF EXIST dcs.exe DEL dcs.exe
IF EXIST DCS-st.exe COPY DCS-st.exe DCS.exe
pause

For disable mklink doesn't work.

I use Skate’s utility for continuing use of ST and the batch file I posted earlier to swap presets and run MT.

Works like a treat for the enable MT bat but not for the disable.

I believe the correct 2-disable-mt.bat should look like this:

cd /d <replace-with-your-install-path>\bin
IF EXIST dcs.exe DEL dcs.exe
IF EXIST DCS-st.exe COPY DCS-st.exe DCS.exe
IF EXIST DCS-st.exe DEL DCS-st.exe
pause

I simply setup an external app in app. settings that points to the mt exe. Yeah the app does not minimize and at like it does when st is launched but I dont mind. This way I can swap between the two with ease and not have to make a big deal out of changing exe. This also works even if you update.

As mentioned earlier by imacken, the benefit of pointing to DCS-MT..exe is that you can use the preset option of the utility which is not possible by using external app approach.

bin-mt it contain also other file i thought the best way is to use the Junction an ALL bin-mt directory

this batch enable MT

@echo off
cd C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta
if not exist bin.org\ (
	ren bin bin.org
	mklink /J bin bin-mt
) else (
	echo E  R  R  O  R  !  !  !
)
pause

this restore Single Thread

@echo off
cd C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta
if exist bin.org\ (
	rmdir bin /Q
	ren bin.org bin
) else (
    echo  E  R  R  O  R  !  !  !
)

pause

if needed you can create a shortcut to this batchs to run it as admin

Hi all,

Is right that the AH-64D does not appear in the modules even though I have it and that even if I have FC3 installed, all the planes modules are red (like not installed) except for FC3, FC3-Su25T and FC3-Su33 ?

Thanks

Hey all - why, oh, why does this app keep crashing? It starts booting then just goes stops and nothing.  It's the up-to-date version and it's not in the system tray.  Any ideas?  TIA

ps It's been a while since I've been on DCS and the app used to work flawlessly but now nothing

Please Attach the .log file for the App,
But I'm pretty sure you moved the app and didn't move the required NewtonsoftJson.dll file with it.

Aircraft are added after they are released, anything released after the last build date hasnt been added,

this version is the most up to date version until the new re-built version is released.
