Just been flying in TAW server with Open beta and it was quite busy, also noticed 70+ clients using it in MP lobby.

really? then i have the bug again that not all servers are showing in the multiplayer list. im currently seeing around 30+.

anyway like i mentioned in my previous post, im not complaining about the open beta process at all.

the problem here is not with the update at all, it's how it was communicated to the community, and a simple HEY oops here's what's up would be nice got one last time it happend.

So does anyone actually know if 1.5.3 stable version will be updated this weekend ? I got an email from ED telling me that it would be yesterday. Personally I am only interested in the aircraft mods, M2000 in particular. As mentioned before it would be pretty good if someone from ED could let us know WTF is going on. Have been following the Razbam team over the past few weeks breaking there necks to debug and add functionality to the Mirage....and most of us cannot get their fruits because of an ED bottle neck...must frustrate the hell out of those guys at Razbam. I fail to see why independent plane developers cant update their own code as long as it does not overwrite any of the base DCS source code and screw others up....FSX has allowed this to happen for decades!

The update is available, but it affects only the Beta install.

The method ED use to update is frustrating for some admittedly, but they have their reasons for sticking with their chosen method. Until the Caucasus map has been integrated into 2.0.x, then updates will remain stepped. It is just something we have to accept, and I am sure that ED don't like it any more than the rest of us.

Even with just one version of DCS World, we have always seen a Beta release, to ensure that there are no major bugs that have been missed, followed soon after by the full release. The complication of 2.0.x is temporary, and if you are not happy to wait for a week or two before you see all the latest additions to the M-2000C, then the natural course of action would be to invest in NTTR. It isn't perfect, but it is what it is.

I am telling you this because you wouldn't get a response from ED on this matter. It has been discussed before.

Hi thanks for the reply. I have the 1.5.3 stable and 2.0 installed. Latest mods for m2000 will probably not arrive in 2.0 for another 2 weeks assuming 1.5.3 stable is next for an update...as ED seem to go weekly. Frustration of this situation is easily remedied if they had put beta in the email. It seems that there is a core of us that eagerly await and make time on Friday evenings to break in the update...and ED are well aware of this.

So they announce that the Mig-15bis is no longer in beta but the DCS World 1.5.3.51171 still shows that module as beta?

One might ask exactly what this announcement means, since both the Open Beta and the Released version are 'public'.

For those that used to limit the GUI Elemebts to a specific size or screen.

For example Eyefinity Users that run a 5760x1080, would limit the UI to the center acreen by defining the start points and height/width.

What it means is that the update released on Friday that affected 1.5.3 Beta, has been released today as 1.5.3 full release version.

The wording isn't crystal clear I must agree, but of course this isn't the first language when it comes to ED.
