TwoLate Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 (edited) It works :music_whistling::music_whistling: and in Mission editor. Warning if you mess it up. I hope I am not doing anything wrong posting this. Could be some negatives to this to polish but it is fun to try out. Please take this with caution. It could mess up any patch applied. It is just interesting to see the new file structure fot future maps and to see it in the mission editor. When a patch comes out please removed the folder. tintifaxl Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 I think! they just copy the Mods/terrains/CaucasusBase folder from 1.5.3 to 2.0.1. Windows 10 64bit, Intel i9-9900@5Ghz, 32 Gig RAM, MSI RTX 3080 TI, 2 TB SSD, 43" 2160p@1440p monitor.
Enduro14 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 i would guess that you copy the new 1.5.3 caucaus map files to the 2.0 install to use it. Thats my guess until i get home and try lol Lol sniper got sniped well done Intel 8700k @5ghz, 32gb ram, 1080ti, Rift S
Lenux Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 I think! they just copy the Mods/terrains/CaucasusBase folder from 1.5.3 to 2.0.1. From DCS World OpenBeta / Mods / Terrains / to DCS World OpenAlpha / Mods / Terrains ? Silver_Dragon Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 only copy Caucasus directory on Mods, to Mods directory on 2.0.1. That work :) For Work/Gaming: 28" Philips 246E Monitor - Ryzen 7 1800X - 32 GB DDR4 - nVidia RTX1080 - SSD 860 EVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 2 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Warthog / TPR / MDF
Enduro14 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 heck i would make it a jsgme mod out of it just to be on the safe side So how does the missions and or campaigns work if they do? Intel 8700k @5ghz, 32gb ram, 1080ti, Rift S

Nealius Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Does that mean we can finally play 2.0 without needing NTTR?
QuiGon Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Does that mean we can finally play 2.0 without needing NTTR? Why would you want to do that? 2.0 = 1.5 + NTTR Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
firmek Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Sorry for maybe a stupid question but apart of possibility to have one instance with both theaters does it bring any advangate like for example new features or better visuals? Enduro14 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 From my observation 1.5.3 and 2.01 is the same thing and same progression as far as graphical effects and such. So with this it looks like if you just want one setup download the 1.5.3 open beta then copy over the files to 2.0 and their ya go. Just be aware patches for 2.0 dont always come out same time as 1.5 and vice versa Intel 8700k @5ghz, 32gb ram, 1080ti, Rift S
Cibit Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Way back when I ran the original Nevada in 1.2.4 ish trouble was loading one map then the other. Possible memory issue but it was an issue at the time. Einherjer Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Did you try it vice versa? Does nttr run in 1.5.3?
ED Team NineLine Posted February 18, 2016 ED Team Posted February 18, 2016 This is not recommended, and could render any bug reports for 2.0 useless to ED, keep that in mind if you are one to help reporting problems. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
Why485 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Did you try it vice versa? Does nttr run in 1.5.3? It just crashes if you try to load the Nevada map when you select it under maps in the mission editor. The fact that all the GUI Is there for it, and the fact that Caucasus now runs in 2.0.3 makes me think that the 2.0 merge is coming very soon.
Silver_Dragon Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 I test my models on that "MOD", not bad, good impresion, but some textures require rework and the teather has some "green" to a satisfactory perfomance. Nealius Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Why would you want to do that? 2.0 = 1.5 + NTTR Because I'd rather not pay for an Alpha map that I'm not going to fly much.... What do you mean ? NTTR is the map for 2.0 Per thread title: Caucasus map imported into 2.0.
ED Team NineLine Posted February 18, 2016 ED Team Posted February 18, 2016 Because I'd rather not pay for an Alpha map that I'm not going to fly much.... But really the only difference in 2.0 and 1.5 is NTTR, that is what he was trying to state. SO using the ALpha install, that is meant for an Alpha on NTTR, and then not using NTTR makes no sense. As a side note, you are not paying for ALPHA, you are getting early access if you want, no one is forced to use NTTR at this point.
