Hi all, I am new to this forum and hoping someone can shed some light on this issue.

 

I am working on a fictional skin pack in the messy style of the Apache and Chinooks.

However, the SA342_Camou_ADT_7_spec map does not go from black to white, despite those values being present in the spec map.

As far as I can tell all skins that come with the module, and all screenshots I see online of other skins display this same issue, just look for the darker tinted underside under the door, or in the roughness channel of the Modelviewer.

I suspect this is a problem with the shader not the textures, so I won't be able to fix it. But figured it's worth a shot asking if anyone knows what's going on.

I added my skin and Polychop's default skin for clarity. As you can see the bottom and cockpit struts are much lighter in the viewer and lost all contrast the textures have.

Exterior skin works but they don’t take advantage of PBR (physically based rendering) textures and don’t cover new items like the periscope. @Devrim’s cockpit unfortunately also has issues with the rendering of new items like the tablet and new sight.

I see, thanks. Didn't notice the problems though.  
I was hoping for a stock English pit in the upgrade.

hi, is there a cockpit skin for the gazelle where you can put a dot on the wind screen to aim weapon in a crude way? I love the new feature where you can remove the sight altogether because they are bulky, and if we can have a pencil mark on wind screen for aiming it would literally be perfect

How did you manage to habe this matte appearance on your liverie? Cause the default french liveries are too shiny. I wonder if it's possible to have the same matte appearance on them.

im looking to make a custom gazelle livery. i never done skins at all... how can go about making a gazelle skin?

at least what is most ppl using to work off of for a paintkit or template?

i just joined the livery art group discord to start my skin adventures.

 

if anyone has a template or can share what it is that most ppl work off of for gazelle skin, please share
